@@LysiX Got it! This has been so great, have all my ps3 favorites working perfectly. Except Guitar Hero 3 in rpcs3 but I think it came out before the rock band controllers.

@@warchildxx you can edit the config to set the guitar type to "guitar hero" for gh3 just a warning, tilt wont work with the guitar hero type. if you want tilt to activate, youre gonna need to rebind tilt to the select button

@@LysiX - is there any way to get the actual "tilt" motion function to work in RPCS3 for guitar hero games? I bought the Xbox version of the Riffmaster so I could have 2 guitars, and it seems to work as well with Rb4InstrumentMapper. I can get both guitars Tilt motion to work in PCSX2 with Guitar hero games, but in RPSC3 I can't figure out how to map it to the actual tilt motion for Guitar Hero games.

did you run clipper? did you install vigembus before running clipper? are you getting any errors when running clipper?

tilt is very sensitive, try putting the guitar as flat as you can (or even tilt it slightly downward) and then tilt it up

that is correct and is working as intended.

@@LysiX But would the issue on the whammy be the guitar itself or do I have to make a certain adjustment in the settings/mod?

@@jar7873 as you said, it works perfectly. thats just how all whammy bars are displayed in rpcs3.

shadps4 is not actually using antimicros inputs, you need to use hidhide to hide the guitar from the emulator: github.com/nefarius/HidHide/releases/latest

@@LysiX i tried using it and it still recognizes the guitar instead of my inputs

@@Soltheman79 on the device tab, do you have your guitar checked? on the applications tab, did you add the shadps4 exe and check Inverse application cloak? did you restart shadps4 after doing these?

@ yes i went to the device tab and checked the adapter and made sure it was disabled on shad ps4 and restarted it multiple times. Honestly it might be the adapter i ordered off amazon causing me trouble.

@@Soltheman79 so with antimicro off your controller inputs are still being read by shadps4? sounds like you missed a step in hidhide if thats the case

sounds like you have the black bg patch enabled

i just run the default 110/75 lol but as you said, calibration will be different for everyone, best to make small incremental changes once you get it close to perfect

which program are you having trouble with?

many people have played the career without any issues in the most recent version of the rb4 specific build of shadps4 if you have the framerate set too high, crashes become more common either lower the vblank divider or limit the framerate to your monitors refresh rate with an external program like rivatuner statistics server

I am also having this issue, this is very strange. Not sure what the calibration tool would do since that is supposed to help with audio/video sync right? I don't even know how to use the calibration tool on clone hero lol. EDIT: I calibrated the whammy bar specifically and set the deadzone to zero and it now works for me.

did you install vigembus? you might have to restart your pc after doing so do you have a ps4 guitar? if it's a riffmaster, do you have it set to ps4 mode?

Same thing happens for me, vigembus installed and restarted and ps4 mode is on

pro drums does work, but it'll probably take a lot of configuring in external programs to get a drumkit working (I tested pro drums with a regular ps4 controller)

yes, songs from the xbox section of rhythmverse will work, you just need to convert it to ps4 pkg with forgetool first a jailbroken ps4 can play disc games, psn games (as long as the account that has the license is still on the console), or pkg games (yep, not just dlc can be installed from a pkg)

if the guitar originally came with a dongle, its still needed (unless the internals are replaced with an arduino/revival kit/etc.) this just removes the necessity for buying an extra adapter (RCMv3, adafruit feather, etc.) to get PS Riffmasters working on PC with whammy and tilt

download the one that has qt in the zip file name, not sdl

@@geladeiranova It's not. YARG's lack of a character creator and career mode means its missing some pretty big parts of every Rock Band game. Some of YARG's highway animations currently lack the fluidity that Rock Band's animations have. YARG is still a great game, don't get me wrong, but there's still something special about playing the originals.

in all seriousness, rock band has always had some awkward camera cuts every now and then, rb4 definitely has more of em though the bgs in general are less polished than previous games, the character animations and lack of camera effects being the big flaws of rb4s bg (although some would say that the lack of camera effects is a good thing) the venues themselves look very nice, but there isn't a lot of them, there's only 13 (6 at launch) compared to rb3's 44 or rb2's 60

the ps4 released over 10 years at this point, it might be a bit longer than that to get ps5 emulation but if it only takes that long to get ps5 emulation working that would be amazing

Rock Band has many features clone hero doesn't and it has a more rewarding hit window.

Clone Hero offers nothing else besides hitting notes. Rock Band 4 has a career mode with real-time animated backgrounds that use characters you make with cool side modes like Play A Show. This coupled with the immense amount of DLC that has multitracks and decent charting keeps people hooked for a while. Also the engine in Rock Band 4 is more satisfying.

Basically what everyone has said. Clone Hero is a shell of a game compared to the fully featured official Rock Band and Guitar Hero games. What hasn't been mentioned is that Clone Hero is also missing vocals, which is definitely a dealbreaker for some people.

@@LysiX Didn't you mention that vocals aren't working anyway with this emulation ? Also you can change the timing window on clone to make it more strict , just like rb. I'm sorry but I really don't see the use of this on PC .

Because it is the newest version of Rock Band 4 that works in shadPS4 at this time.

Yes, 2.21 currently doesn't work on emu. I have it for use on my real PS4

@@LysiX ha, good to know. I played around with 1.08 and your fork. Got high frames, but it stutters as hell. Black screen mod and it's smooth. Seeing 180fps on the counter is really wonderful.

You definitely should be able to run RB4, maybe not at this high of a resolution, but default 1080p should definitely be playable on your machine

drums yes mic no and i dont think you can do local multiplayer you can watch his tutorial on how to set it up

i think pro drums is broken (can't hit cymbals, might've been fixed idk) but standard drums works here's the tutorial they're taking about btw ruclips.net/video/IweevMizZeI/видео.html

i think it would work if bound correctly, i believe cymbals work by pressing a regular tom note and a special cymbal modifier button, rock band guitars’ solo buttons work in a similar manner (by pressing a note and hitting a solo modifier key) and with my riffmaster (with just the regular shadps4 binds, no additional binding) the game detects that im hitting the solo buttons when freestyle solos give the orange higher notes thing. A similar scenario might work if you maybe had the rock band midi pro adapter which basically can turn midi input into controller input and does press the cymbal modifier key when you hit a cymbal on your kit. I don’t have pro drums yet but im planning on getting an e kit, i can update you if it works when i have it and thank you for your amazing work on this <3

@@efeeyc last time we tried drums, the cymbal modifier was just not being detected by shadps4, but if that has changed that would be amazing news

Shame if thats the case, the solo button behavior is weird anyway. It detects it in the freestyle solos, but if you turn freestyles off the no strumming in solos dont work

it only took us almost 9 years to get it but its finally happening and i could not be happier
