As the last vestiges of summer fade away, let's reminisce about what inspiration the ocean brings each day.
In April, on my annual anniversary trip to the SC Coast, I found these thick shells, so here I try to recreate the etched paattern in marbling.
Granted, I changed the colors because I didn't want it to look like Halloween, so it looks like spring instead!

Very cool. Did you alum the wood items before dipping?
Thank you for asking. The paint itself works best on raw, absorbent wood. A sealer was applied when the paint was dry.

My apologies for the delayed reply. The liquid is called methyl cellulose and is plant starch. It is readily available on my website, www.majik-studios.com
