Hi @stuartvarney5944 - We bought the fifth wheel about 2 years ago now, when it was new off the boat from the USA. This is the first time we've had an issue with it. We don't live in Gracie Lou full time, and tour around the UK all year round, so she is shaken about a bit (well a lot sometimes - the UK roads are horrendous after all). I'm just pleased that we found out what the problem was and fixed it. I guess it's like a lot of things these days, when you pull them apart, and see what's underneath, it's not what you'd expect or hope for. Thanks for watching.

I understand that possibly you’re been a little unlucky. However it seems the actual construction methods were perhaps below par. Did you not consider purchasing from The Fifth Wheel Company in North Wales?

We did look at them - their layouts were too limited and they were small in comparison to the American Fifth Wheel styles. They didn't suit our needs.

Oh no! But a sheet of recycled plastic is a piece of genius! Love it! Our fifth wheels bring so much pleasure, but like a home they need looking after and upkeep. Good luck Peter, and I hope that your Cedar Creek gives you many years of trouble free travels!

You have to have an extended warranty and then you would have to live in the USA.

Forest River - the manufacturer of our Rockwood 2622RK, only offer a 1 year warranty and that's limited. Some places that you buy from may offer an extended warranty if you ask. Always worth asking. Ours is out of warranty anyway, and even though it was a pain to fix, in real terms we could have just made good, and not pulled Gracie Lou's slide out to pieces, but this way we are safe knowing it is done, and done right. I would never put you off buying a fifth wheel, it is our little peaceful place - well once we aren't being gawked at by everyone on the site! LOL!

Hi there, yes the roof is always a must for us too. The roof was cleaned first - it makes me a nervous wreck when he's up there! We didn't record that bit - sorry! One thing we like to check is that when we're visiting somewhere that there are no low-hanging trees in the driveway or by the pitch. We've got a few scratches up there from those kind of things.

Hi Paul, glad you're enjoying the videos. There will be more to come this year. As for a tote, we have a 21 gallon tote (US gallons), and yes, they are super heavy when filled, and yes, it can be a pain when the ElSan point is off the ground. If it is, then it's a two man job, or sometimes, if you're lucky there may be a manhole cover close by... and if you politely ask the warden or staff if you can raise it, then it may make for an easier life. We've been to a couple of sites where they had no issue with us lifting the manhole cover. Good luck and let us know how you get on!
