I love seeing Nintendo experimenting with their music but still keeping the style of the rest of Mario Kart 8. I’ve noticed that they’ve been using samples a lot recently like the piano chords at the beginning of Singapore Speedway (for the life of me I can’t find the name of the sample) and even amen break drums in DK Summit (12:23), which completely baffled me. Also them using metal for Bowser Castle 3 surprised me too.

This is arguably the worst Ai I’ve ever seen I blame Camelot for this bullshit what where they thinking about this nonsense it’s like 64 they do good early but choke horribly in the late holes but they make this look like Mario kart rubber banding absolutely horrendous good luck to anyone who is brave enough to demolish these assholes !

Bueno llego el gran final del BCP un DLC que honestamente siento que junto al DLC de smash eran las cosas que mas me hypeaban cada que salia nueva información pero bueno nada dura para siempre hora de ver como les quedaron los OST Rome Avanti: 8DX simplemente es una buena actualización del tema que ya de por si el original era buenísimo pero este remix logro hacer muy bien las cosas DK Mountain:8DX las flautas y Bongos que le dieron al tema en vez de los tambores de siempre siento que le queda mejor a la pista es el mismo efecto que tuve con Daisy Cruiser que los añadidos hicieron que para mi fuera de un tema meh a buenísimo solo que aca es un tema buenísimo escalado a otra potencia Daisy Circuit:8DX este era uno de mis ost favoritos de Wii y cuando lo revelaron en el Direct no podia esperar para escuchar el remix y cuando porfin salio DIOS MIO es como cosa aparte pero sinceramente lo amo va mas con la ambientación que se ubica y esos malditos violines hacen que no pare de sentirme feliz Piranha Plant Cove:8DX esta era la pista que me esperaba que saliera en el DLC ya que su version de Tour me encanto y su tema se volvio de mis favoritos literal te hacia sentir en una aventura submarina pero cuando salio la version de 8DX muchos no la notaron igual pero yo note al instante los detalles nuevos como un tambor en todo el OST los instrumentos mas genuinos unas castañuelas de fondo entre otras cosas sin dudas ame el remix Madrid Drive: 8DX ya de inmediato en la version de Tour era tema TOP TIER literal me quedaba horas escuchando ese tema pero sabia que si algo harían en 8DX era superar el MIDI con instrumentos reales y eso hicieron no saben como adore el remix con castañuelas, unos violines reales, el acordeon mas prominente y esa Guitarra en serio que es creo mi tema favorito de todo mario kart junto a DK Summit, Rainbow Road Wii, Berlin Byways y Vancouver Velocity Madrid Drive (Museum): 8DX simplemente añadieron mas eco e instrumentos reales pero igual esta bien ya simplemente con el ECO me sirve para sentirme en un museo Madrid Drive (Stadium):8DX hicieron el coro mas genuino y un tambor real y que puedo decir me gusta Rosalina's Ice World:8DX el tema original siempre me pareció algo meh como que le faltaba algo para que escale mas y en 8DX lo hicieron bien ese sintetizador le dio mucha mas vida y sensación de Frenesi que siento que le faltaba al tema original simplemente un tema delicioso Bowser Castle 3:8DX simplemente METAL como estan haciendo en los juegos recientes darle un tono metal a bowser en esta pista ya sabia que tocarian asi y dios mio que GENIAL es un poco injusto comparar algo de SNES con la actualidad pero igual es estúpidamente increíble el Remix Wii Rainbow Road: 8DX el perfecto final del BCP sin dudarlos y el tema representa perfectamente el cierre del juego, me sumerjo perfectamente en el espacio con este tema sin dejar de lado un buen frenesi pero a la vez la sensación de final que estamos a punto acabar todo y obtener nuestro ultimo trofeo de Oro sin dudas el perfecto final y un Remix de 10

Bueno veamos que tal esta la Wave 5 (casi igual que la 4 en calidad lo cual para mi ya es alto) Athens Dash: 8DX los instrumentos reales para mi siempre seran superiores al MiDi y este ost lo demuestra añadiendole mas frenesi y epicidad al Ost y donde llega el Peak para mi es esta parte 2:25 Daisy Cruiser: 8DX me sorprende el odio que recibio este Remix que la verdad para mi es superior por todos los violines que tiene en varias secciones nunca fui fan del original pero este remix hizo que de verdad me gustara Moonview Highway: 8DX simplemente hicieron el Ost mas agitado y funciona perfecto para una pista tan frenetica como esta Moonview Highway (City): 8DX simplemente JAZZ si algo nos enseño este juego es el excelente jazz que tiene y este OST diria que es el epitome de ese genero en Mario kart LA Laps: 8DX siempre considere este Ost algo infravalorado en su version original pero cuando llego la hora de verlo en 8 y su datamine dije ohhhhhh seguro sera increíble y afortunadamente para mi se supero si bien extraño un poco los Bah el Saxofón con Guitarra hacen el Substituto perfecto lo adore sobretodo en esta parte 24:00 Sunset Wilds: Super Circuit/Tour/8DX dejando de lado que quitaran su atardecer progresivo el Ost en sus 3 versiones para mi coexisten perfectamente y podria escuchar cualquiera y tendran mi mismo grado de atencion Koopa Cape: 8DX la version original es la mas debil en mi opinion de las 3 pero igual no hay que negar que esta buena y los ajustes que hicieron en 8 si bien no la impulsan tanto igual ta bien Koopa Cape (River): 8DX simplemente el toque frenético en la version de 8 le añadieron bastantes puntos sobretodo el banjo y ese violin en esta parte 30:10 simplemente delicioso para mi oido Koopa Cape (Pipe): 8DX ya digo todo con esta guitarra 42:43 simplemente PERFECTO Vancouver Velocity: 8DX si ya la original era bellisima este Remix simplemente para los mas amantes de la musica seguro les sacara lagrimas esta parte 46:25 es increíble lo que hacen los de Nintendo con las pistas de Tour

Here we go, the final wave of the BCP. Here’s what I think about all of these: Rome Avanti: neither version is something I can vibe with, but 8 Deluxe gets the edge for cleaner sound. DK Mountain: it’s rare for a Double Dash song to be made worse than it already is, but it happened here. The added flutes are just annoying to me. Piranha Plant Cove: There are barely any differences between the two, so it’s hard to pick one. But I will say that I’m kind of upset that we didn’t get Piranha Plant Pipeline, cuz that song is awesome, while this one isn’t. Madrid Drive: Like PPC, 8 Deluxe’s version is basically just a high quality version of the original. But I still think it sounds better. Madrid Drive museum: 8 Deluxe definitely wins this one, it sounds way fuller. Madrid Drive stadium: these two are literally identical. Maybe there’s something I’m missing, but I can’t notice any differences at all. Rosalina’s Ice World: I always thought this song was mediocre in Mario Kart 7, but I was blown away at how much I enjoyed 8 Deluxe’s remix. I mean, that bass is absolutely crazy. (Also, even though it wasn’t 3DS Bowser’s Castle, I had the biggest sigh of relief when I saw we were getting another 3DS track in the first place) Bowser Castle 3: It’s not even a question that 8 Deluxe wins this. Unlike a lot of the electronic songs I had worries about in previous waves, I actually did have reason to worry about this song; I thought Nintendo was gonna be lazy again and barely remix it like with Mario Circuit 3. But then it turned out to be the best SNES remix the series has ever seen (the same goes for the racetrack, of course). I can only imagine how incredible a remix of GBA Bowser Castle 4 or 3DS Bowser’s Castle woulda been! Wii Rainbow Road: 8 Deluxe also wins this one without a doubt. Changing the lead instrument from a flute thingy to a synth was the best choice they coulda possibly made. EASILY one of the most improved songs in the game alongside Dry Dry Desert, Choco Mountain, Bowser Castle 3, and Singapore Speedway. (I also nearly cried from nostalgia when I first played this track; Mario Kart Wii is my childhood) Now, before all of you spam this in the replies, just know that I hate Daisy Circuit on a level that I can’t even comprehend. I raged harder than any COD player in existence when I saw it was coming to the BCP. Because of this hatred, I refuse to talk about it under any circumstances. On a more serious note, we’ve come such a long way since wave 1, going from tracks that looked straight outta Tour with no interesting elements to tracks that are REALLY close to the visuals of the base game and have antigrav, half pipes, and all the track elements that are a delight. It even gave us things that we didn’t even know we needed: a customizable items setting, eight new characters (though I could do without Wiggler or Peachette lol), and even a jukebox. Thank you for everything, Nintendo.

i've done this for every single other wave, i am legally bound to do it for this one, here are my preferred versions of every track in Wave 6 Rome Avanti - 8DX (i just like it over tour) DK Mountain - 8DX (Unlike the last Double Dash track, they actually nailed the intended jungle feeling way more in 8DX, especially with the newly added flute) Daisy Circuit - Wii (I prefer the instrumentation in Wii, that's all. The 8DX version is still good) Piranha Plant Cove - 8DX (I'm convinced that they are identical, with 8DX just having slightly higher quality samples.) Madrid Drive - Tour (once again, they sound nearly identical, i just prefer the tour version slightly more) Madrid Drive (Museum) - Tour (sounds more like museum music, i guess) Madrid Drive (Stadium) - 8DX (this sounds more like a war chant than a sports chant, but whatever. Also why did they make variations for the Museum and Stadium when you visit both once for 5 seconds each) Rosalina's Ice World - 8DX (they added the amen break. i didn't know i needed the amen break in Rosalina's Ice World.) SNES Bowser's Castle 3 - 8DX (this isn't even a contest. SMW, SMK and Super Circuit were having a pillow fight and 8DX threw a grenade in) Wii Rainbow Road - 8DX (Wii's Rainbow Road was already my favourite Rainbow Road, and they somehow made it better than it already was in track design and music. I nearly cried when I first played it, it's actually insane how good the 8DX version is.)

Ima be honest, this track is so much worse in Tour, the music (while still being good) is definitely downgrade imo, it just sounds like if someone recorded themselves playing the track in 8DX on their phone camera… And visually, my gawd it’s ugly af…

Bueno creo que es hora de opinar de la que es para mi hasta ahora la mejor Wave en cuanto a Ost se refiere Ámsterdam Drift: 8DX la mayor instrumentación le dio mas vida al tema haciendola mas dinamica y pegajosa al oido Riverside Park: 8DX en sus versiones original y Tour este Ost me parece horrible 0 Ritmo o coordinación en los instrumentos pero en 8 pusieron todo en su lugar haciendo una mejor distribución de todos los instrumentos con una buena armonia y agregando algunos para que la verdad hicieran una excelente reversion del tema DK Summit/ DK's Snowboard Cross: 8DX esta decisión fue realmente muy difícil ya que este es mi pista favorita de todo mario kart y tengo una gran nostalgia a la misma y verla de vuelta fue magico para mi y su Ost para que decir pero 8DX mejoro algo que en un principio pense que era inmejorable y perfecto ya desde el inicio empieza tranquilo para darme de golpe una sensación que de verdad estoy llendo al punto mas alto de la montaña para encontrarme con unas tremendas guitarras que ayudan al frenesí de la pista y el sintetizador que acompaña bien al tema que en serio me dan escalofrios cada que escucho este Ost y juego esta pista Yoshi's Island: 8DX voy a ser honesto nunca jugue el original Yoshi's Island de SNES pero igualmente la versión de 8 da una sensación nostalgica con felicidad rebosante por todos lados que en serio aunque juegues o no el juego de donde proviene este Ost es uno que si o si te sacara una sonrisa de escucharlo Bangkok Rush: 8DX este diria que es de los Ost que en su version de Tour es de los que menos me gustan no se habia algo que me hacia no querer escucharlo tanto como otros como Singapore o Vancouver por dar ejemplos pero en 8DX siento que con unos instrumentos mas reales y unos poquitos cambios hicieron que se convierta en uno de mis favoritos sobretodo en esta parte 21:31 Mario Circuit DS: 8DX este es otro Ost por el cual tengo nostalgia si un Ost representa lo que es DS es este sin dudarlo incluso mas que otros como Waluigi pinball pero cuando escuche la version de 8DX quede maravillado por la fielidad al original pero con unas trompetas reales y un bajo que simplemente son deliciosos al oido Waluigi Stadium: 8DX este es un Ost alocado que vaya que va bien con la ambientacion y lo que representa Double Dash pero la version de 8DX a diferencia de muchos esta version la encuentro mejor por que la siento mas adecuada para la misma pista osea es un derby de motocross con tematica de Waluigi osea esa tonalidad mas extrema y energética la adore al instante sobretodo aqui 36:39 Singapore Speedway: 8DX yo defendia a muerte las Pistas de Tour por ser divertidas y tener de los mejores Ost de mario kart y este es un claro caso de eso el piano combinado con el hermoso sintetizador de este juego y sobretodo esta parte 40:57 es simplemente INCREÍBLE Singapore Speedway (Chinatown): 8DX algo que esperaba bastante de esta version era algo como Dragon Road que es tremendo Ost y simplemente me dieron algo a la altura incluso podria decir superior porque en serio que los instrumentos que usaron son magistrales en su ejecución la verdad entre esta y la original estaria muy indeciso de cual prefiero mas ambas son excelentes

Daisy’s cruiser in 8DX made me cry the first time i heard it,I heard it in its debut,Its song remake and course remake,And to finally see it back again made my heart so excited,the violins made it have a closure effect that overjoyed my heart🥹it feels sm more tropical than before🫶🏽🧡

My thoughts on all of these Athens Dash: there doesn’t seem to be many differences between the two, but 8 Deluxe’s sounds more lively, so I have to give it the tiny edge. Daisy Cruiser: the fact that I have to talk about this track at all makes me angry, but here we go. The song was nothing special in Double Dash, and 8 Deluxe somehow made it worse. The lack of a catchy shaker and quieter bass is unfortunate. Moonview Highway: the original was by and far one of the best songs Mario Kart Wii had to offer, and I’m so happy it’s returned. 8 Deluxe retains all of the goodness from the OG and actually slightly improves upon it. I like the drums better, and that riser at the end gives me *_life._* Moonview Highway city: in Mario Kart Wii, I hated this version, and I still do. On the other hand, 8 Deluxe’s version is actually not terrible. It’s still totally lame compared to the normal version though. Los Angeles Laps: the original sounded weird to me at first, but it’s grown on me over time. 8 Deluxe’s version is pretty good too. While it doesn’t have the distortion or funny vocals, it’s a lot cleaner, and the lead synth is less shrill at some parts. I’d call this one a draw. Sunset Wilds: unpopular opinion, but I always found this to be just an OK song. Tour’s version is nothing special either. 8 Deluxe, however, adds some much-needed substance to it. Koopa Cape: I’m gonna talk about all 3 versions in short bursts. For the normal version, I slightly prefer 8 Deluxe for reasons I can’t quite grasp. For the river version, I prefer Wii because of its better drums. For the pipe version, I like both equally, as they both have elements that cancel each other out. Vancouver Velocity: I was stoked to hear this song in HD after so long, and the result was pretty good. I like both versions equally again.

i feel slightly contractually obligated to do this again but, my preferred versions of every song in Wave 5: Athens Dash - 8DX (I do like the Tour Version, but this theme benefits so much from having actual instruments) Daisy Cruiser - GCN/Wii/7 (they are all identical, except for 7 which has negative audio quality. But I prefer them over in 8DX version which kind of loses the tropical feeling that the originals had) Moonview Highway - 8DX (BANGER also the drum samples before the loop remind me of the Rick Roll) Moonview Highway (City) - 8DX (jazz) Squeaky Clean Sprint - 8DX (the tour version isn't even out yet, i don't know what) Los Angeles Laps - Tour (I don't even really like the Tour version that much, but the random scatting gives it so much more character than the 8DX version which just kind of slapped a sax into everything) Sunset Wilds - Tour (Triumphant. I don't have anything else to add, it's just incredibly triumphant) Koopa Cape - Wii (In terms of the instrumentation, I do actually prefer 8DX. If I had to pick between 8 Deluxe and Super Circuit, I’d go with Super Circuit. DK Summit: Similarly to DS Shroom Ridge, I was worried Nintendo was gonna make this song something other than drum & bass. But they proved me wrong once again. In fact, I like the remix better. (I think I need to stop worrying about electronic and rock songs, at this point it’s obvious they’re gonna keep 'em that way. Also, PLEASE don’t yell at me if this song isn’t DNB, okay? I’m terrible with music genres.) Yoshi’s Island: Gotta go with 8 Deluxe, it sounds a lot more alive. Bangkok Rush: I don’t like either version in the slightest, but if I had to choose one I’d pick 8 Deluxe cuz it sounds less messy. Mario Circuit: After what they did with Shroom Ridge, I had no reason to be worried about this song. And it’s safe to say my lack of worry paid off. The remix sounds nothing short of great; I love that they actually kept the record scratches. I like it better than the original song however, I will say that I wish the bass was louder. Waluigi Stadium: Before I talk about this specific song, I’m gonna give a super spicy hot take. I detest the music in Mario Kart Double Dash; the only songs I *truly* like from it are this one, Baby Park, the circuit theme, and the menu theme. In any event, between the original and the remix, I gotta go with the remix again. The added guitar to the bass and synth at the end really win me over. Also, you can ridicule me all you want for saying these things; I don’t care at all. Singapore Speedway: 8 Deluxe by a LOT. Not only does it sound much more alive, but the square synth at 40:43 also sounds SO much better than whatever the hell the equivalent instrument was in Tour. Also, the Splatoon-like voxes in this song make me giggle. Singapore Speedway Chinatown: Both versions are lame-o compared to their equivalent regular versions (well for Tour that’s kinda sayin somethin, but for 8 Deluxe yeah it’s not even a question), but 8 Deluxe wins this one yet again. It sounds more pleasant than Tour’s version. All in all, I’m rather impressed with this wave’s music (and the racetracks as well). It’s not as good as wave 3, but it’s slightly better than wave 1 and *_infinitely_* better than wave 2.

Welp I've done this for every other wave, why stop now? My preferred versions of each track Amsterdam Drift: Tour (Something about the instrument used makes me prefer it, I don't know exactly what though.) Riverside Park: 8DX (I like that they included the GBA sample of that one noise, but this is just a general improvement) DK's Snowboard Cross: Wii (A decision carried by nostalgia, but I also don't really like the 8DX remix.) Yoshi's Island: 8DX: (The original is a classic, but the jazzy swing feeling of the 8DX is incredible) Bangkok Rush: Tour (The grittiness(?) of the instruments used makes me prefer it) DS Mario Circuit: DS (MKDS's synth bass just wins me over everytime. Also since this is the last DS track, I feel it necessary to point out that I've never preferred the 8DX remix of any of the DS tracks. Good job Nintendo, the MK7 staff holding a mic up to the DS speakers beat your remix.) Waluigi Stadium: Double Dash/Wii (i can't tell the difference between these two, but they both have the awkward right channel trumpet(?) which gives their versions so much character) Singapore Speedway: 8DX (c'mon. Nintendo was clearly proud of this remix since it was the only song in the Wave 4 trailer, and they were right to be proud, this is incredible.) Singapore Speedway (Chinatown): Tour (However, the Tour version of the Chinatown segment gives off a Chinatown vibe more than the 8DX version)

My thoughts on all of these: London Loop: the original is my favorite song from Mario Kart Tour (and also one of my favorite Mario Kart songs of all time), and I’m so glad it’s back. Both versions have elements that cancel each other out (for example, the beginning sounds better in 8 Deluxe, but I like the lead guitar at 0:14 better in Tour), so this one is a draw. Boo Lake: a good majority of official remixes of Mario Kart Super Circuit songs are painfully mediocre, or just flat out bad (the only exceptions are the Bowser Castle (sans MKDS) and Sky Garden remixes, Peach Circuit from DS, and Ribbon Road from 8). However, the 8 Deluxe remix of this _isn’t_ one of 'em (the Tour remix is though). I used to think this one was a tie, but the 8 Deluxe remix just kept growing on me, so I prefer it now. Rock Rock Mountain: the OG is my fave song from MK7, and I’m happy it’s returned as well. In-game, it sounds like they removed the synth at the end, and I wouldn’t have liked that. However, listening to it here, I can clearly tell it’s there. Like London Loop, both songs have quirks that surpass each other, so this is a draw as well. Also, both this and London Loop have overthrown DS Shroom Ridge as my favorite new remix they’ve added. Maple Treeway: this feels pretty weird for me to say this, but the original definitely wins this one. The instruments in the 8 Deluxe remix are a lot more grating. However, the actual racetrack is better in 8 Deluxe without a doubt. Berlin Byways: in-game, it sounds like they totally removed the distortion from the techno portion. Listening to it here, there definitely _is_ distortion, but it’s a lot less prominent, so minus points for that. I also don’t like the added flute in the orchestral portion. Bottom line: the original wins (the remix isn’t bad though, in fact I also find it worth listening to) Peach Gardens: same deal as Maple Treeway. 8 Deluxe’s remix is more grating, so the original wins. Merry Mountain: both versions aren’t really my vibe, but if I had to pick one I’d go with 8 Deluxe’s version. Rainbow Road: the original was already one of the best songs in Mario Kart 7, but 8 Deluxe took it and made it ten times cooler. Adding 909 hi hats to the beat? HELL yeah! (909 hi hats are BY FAR my favorite kind of hi hats) On another note, this track has *finally* overthrown 3DS Neo Bowser City as my favorite retro track in the game. All in all, this is so far the best selection of music we’ve gotten in my opinion. While it doesn’t have the least number of songs I dislike (that title goes to wave 1), wave 1 only has one song that I consider up there with the big dogs, and that’s Shroom Ridge. Meanwhile, this wave has four songs that fall under that category.

My thoughts on all of these: Paris Promenade- Both versions are VERY fitting for Paris, and while not a lot changed, it was definitely change enough to give 8 Deluxe the edge. Toad Circuit- Personally, this is my favorite circuit theme in the Mario Kart series. Both versions sound great, I’d call it a draw here. Choco Mountain- 8 Deluxe by a milestone. Coconut Mall- I might get ridiculed for this, but I gotta go with 8 Deluxe’s version. The instruments are just so much cleaner. Tokyo Blur- Gotta go with 8 Deluxe. Shroom Ridge- When this DLC was first revealed, this was my most anticipated song. I was wondering "Are they gonna ruin the song by making it not electronic like they did with GBA Cheese Land?", but low and behold, they didn’t, and I couldn’t be happier. Until wave 3, this was by far my favorite _new_ remix we got (I say new because we have Waluigi Pinball which uses the same song as Wario Stadium; I doubt something like that’ll happen again but I have no idea). In any event, between the two songs, I gotta go with 8 Deluxe’s version again. Sky Garden- This kinda contrasts with my anticipation for Shroom Ridge, but I actually like the (8 Deluxe) remix despite it not being synthetic like the original song. However, I WILL say that I think they shoulda just used the Mario Kart Tour remix, cuz in my opinion, that’s the ultimate remix of Sky Garden. Ninja Hideaway- I don’t really like either version, but if I had to pick one I’d go with 8 Deluxe.
