I can't help but view this scene, not as Sara having romantic feelings for Joe, but rather her wondering what could have been should she had those feelings for him. The more romantic options come across as forced and unnatural, as they are often uncomfortable or not expected to the characters in the scene, and picking them leads to a path in which Sara escapes with Joe alone, something she never did in reality, and something which she seems to accept afterwards as a sort of conclusion to that version of events, after which the scene pivots and she recommends Joe go on a date with Ryoko, rather than herself. The way i see it, Sara isn't romantically attracted to Joe, but instead in this moment she wishes she had been or that their relationship had been closer romantically, and is wondering if she could have escaped with him if that were the case, only to accept that they didn't feel that way for each other and that ultimately that simply is not the form their relationship took, nor the fate that they chose.

Thank your for these endings! I haven't been able to survive long enough to see all of them. Mishima's new ending was seriously sweet.

Don't trust any reviewer who gave this game above 6/10. (and tbh in my eyes it's even lower) Really poor written game.

for some reason the end killed me 😂 but on a serious note, in my opinion the writing is not that good. and the ending always feels so rushed. the only good reviews i have for it is just the visual and the aesthetic in general.

They really ruined this. From the beginning I was taken out of it. If she was a professor, you begin with her giving a lecture, and having flashbacks to the first episode of life is strange. Maybe a kid drops something, and it reminds her of Blackwell. Showing us she is still processing what she went through all those years ago. But she’s a woman now. And she can keep composure. SHOWING us how much she’s grown, yet how far she still has to go. It would have been such an amazing open. Much more narratively compelling than the greedy cash grab that was the opening sequence of DE. So disappointing what greedy writers will do. Write a trash narrative that simply doesn’t even come close to compelling. Introduces us to characters that they expect us to like reguardless of how emotionally unaware they are. Characters that don’t grow on us. (Apart from Moses by far the best written character other than Max in the entire game.. but Deck nine didn’t write Max… did they?😂) sorry for the rant :/ just can’t get over how poorly executed this was. The ball was lined up, they had everything at their disposal and they still messed it up royally.

sad they switched it last minute, erika sung it so pretty damn fu** good, and she sung all the songs, it is a facepalm that they did this ***move. I mean I like mxmtoon nothing against, her but Mori is also damn good, an she hitched some points better out there, like "high as" and other stuff.

Erika Mori's performance fits the scene way more. mxmtoon's version is a studio recording and it sounds out of place in a live setting.

That whole thing with the red letters got me thinking about why he's got the second highest survival rate from the tests. Maybe he and Sara are cut from the same cloth after all, and Sara's just got the delicate exterior to make use of those strengths. Such a fun concept. Nankidai give us more!

MXMtoon sounds leagues better but the acting and the lipsynch is way better with Erika

Reko and Kai's fondness events are pure insanity. 2.5 are completely silly comedy routines and half an event is a serious character analysis and some introspection on horror itself. Plus Reko kind of acts like Yamada a bit.

mxmtoon sounds great, of course, and she doesnt sound different enough to cry as much as some here do, sounds exactly the same/with minimal changes like anyone singing does. About Erika, of course sounds natural, but she sounds rough, probably cuz she didnt need to try, the metronome is there too cuz the needed to sinc animation-og voice to mxmtoon efitiency. mxmtoon Is publicity anyway.
