I can't believe this how do I fix this? For weeks we would wake up and find poop in our pool. We always thought it was an iguana. Nope! I set up a camera last night and the answer is there are pool parties going on every night. the first group, a mom and 3 kids swimming around. 2nd group of adults of 6 swimming around. Then to top it off a 3rd group of 5 pooping in the pool. What do I do???

DEI hire in NZ!
Happy for you that your sponsors buy into your supposed Facebook video views, but the notion that your videos are genuinely being watched 200,000 times is just not credible. Look at the best yacht video content here on RUclips and compare their viewer stats to your own. We like your style, but Facebook video stats are complete nonsense.
Sorry you feel that way. We are not big on you tube but on Facebook we are 800K to 1m per month. You don't have to believe me, look for yourself. this same video over on FB hit 254k views today. Are you telling me that FB views are made up? We are also distributed by Yachting international radio. facebook.com/megayachtnewsshow/videos/1593823671211898
Leading information says that the NZ Captain's boat lost power, while next to a reef. Might have a small something to do w/ grounding.
Odd, and disjointed way to present your information.
Great intel. Thanks guys!
Was stationed there in the late 70’s, what a time! Ran 41’s .
How much cocaine is this guy on? Just an armature home video. Watch Superyachts News for actual industry news.
DEI Hires
Don't need a new studio, don't even need a roll just informal news, we want want anymore want to be CBS, NBC, ABC, CNN , MSNBC just personal You Tube, that's why I'm here.
1.6 billion, what’s that in mega yachts , like 5 or 6 boats
Wow. Excellent Series. Excellent presentation.
Hi Doug & Team, Presumably your video numbers are based on Facebook? In which case, I would be very wary of Meta's number manipulation, which has been proven to be total B/S. Seems highly unlikely that this (great) video has XX thousand views on Facebook, but only 66 plays here on RUclips. I'm a socmed manager in the superyacht industry (in the Med) and would strongly recommend embracing RUclips and monetising your excellent content here. Your production values are high and the content is interesting/entertaining, so why your engagement here is close to nil beats me... There are many very average RUclipsrs frequently hitting 100K+ views and doing very nicely ($$$) out of it, thank you. In the meantime, great chat with Juan Gainza. I wouldn't argue with his general immigration expertise, though there are some issues that require clarification in respect of yachting. Specifically, if entering the US on a B1/B2 visa to look for work on board, you must exit the US before accepting a job offer and you should then re-enter on your B1 visa. ESTAs can work too, for some crew members. Juan mentioned D1, but this is unsuitable for yacht crew. Post-COVID, foreign crew have been able to work on US flagged vessels in US waters, as per US Customs and Border Protection. We have written an extensive (I would say, 'definitive') guide on B1/B2 visas, which we update whenever there are changes. It's available here: estelashipping.es/the-a-to-z-of-b1-b2-visas/ Love the channel, keep it up. Best regards, James (james.vanbregt@estelashipping.net)
Great video! One more question I had that you almost answered… Someone with a B1 working visa that has been in yachting and got their visa applying with yachting documents - wanting to go to the states for interviews and looking for employment. Will they be allowed to enter the states and what type of paperwork do they have to have to enter the US to probe they are coming for interviews or for working opportunities in the yachting industry?
I think you need to state at entry which biz you are trying to work with, but don't quote me
Hey. When you gatta go, you gatta go.
That last little guy just HAD to take a dump and sully the pristine waters. lolol You need to put up a sign that says NO POOPING IN THE POOL That should take care of it.
Not as bad as our Navy LOL
Van Urine? wtf?
so well said save your child
solution: harpoons have been very effective on whales. Just like with kids, there have to be consquences for bad behavior, otherwise they never know what they are doing is bad.
Like the 130 much better
me too.
Green is diesel red is gas
yup, this place all the handles are gray.
they used to make those boats with diesel engines however the outboard is very noticeable
At least it was not the other way around. Pumping GAS into a Diesel engine.
Oh boy, not good.... Hate that happened. Last week I was coming south on ICW just below JAX and stopped for fuel (gas). When I saw the green handle on the fuel nozzle it crossed my mind that it could easily get mixed up if someone wasn't paying attention. At least you get to come back to Largo and hit Gilbert's again before coming back up! 😂😂😂
Keeping it real. Cheers
Has ANYONE ever seen Putin on a yacht.... ?
your a disconnected fool
You are nuts! Not over, just more expensive because of the wonderful Israelis and their semite friends. Too much greed destroys anything. Music is over, freedom is over, the USA is over. Yachts are for pedophiles.
CLICK BAIT & BLOCKED . Your only referring to the crew & skippered rental market and not "Yachting"
It sounds like half of your argument is that the owners shouldn't have to acknowledge the crew as people.
I'm a transgender therefore I'm qualified I used to float something in the bathtub😂😂😂😂 I'm currently in the Navy😆😆😆😆😆 I can push a button one right on top of the toilet 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
So glad to have no part whatsoever in this business.
Not so much an overabundance of inexperience but a generational blob of idiots.
Not all 'law enforcement' folks think they know it all-
Disclaimer: I am not from the yachting industry, but I sail commercial and passenger vessels and I’ve heard this same sentiment. Couple of counter points: You state that crewmembers want to put titles on their name to somehow embellish their record and pretend they have more experience than they do. Later on, you state that people are getting their master’s license in two weeks and immediately getting a job. Both of these subjects are a matter of perspective, and there’s always someone higher on the food chain willing to shit on you for making yourself out to be more than you are. You yourself stated at the beginning of the video that you were a captain of ocean going vessels at 26. I can tell you now that if you made that statement on the bridge of an unlimited tonnage vessel, they would laugh in your face. Do they have the right to do that? Debatable, but we can all agree it’s uncalled for behavior. You held the liability, you get the title. And furthermore, if vessel owners continue to shrink staffs while purchasing larger vessels, a single steward doing what used to be the work of 3 people has every right to state that they were “head of the department”. With regards to your statement about owners requiring experience for entry level positions… how on earth do you think we got ourselves into this labor shortage in the first place? For years, companies in every industry got away with requiring exorbitant amounts of experience for entry level positions because the workforce was flush, they were CHEAP, and nobody lifted a finger to foster and mentor new blood into the industry. We (the industry) got ourselves into this huge mess and now the regulatory bodies are printing credentials as fast as they can to fill all the holes, leading to a crew full of inexperience from the top down. Again, this is OUR fault, not that of the “FNG’s”. Finally, you mention that owners are “tolerant” of crews’ perceived misbehavior, but not accepting. To me, this sounds like a failure on the employer’s part to run their “business” and a failure of leadership on the captain’s part. FULL STOP. Once again, to me this points to a general failure of the industry as a whole to maintain standards. This takes years to happen. Who had the conn as she was steered toward the rocks? What stands as a fact is that the maritime industry at large faces a significant challenge in maintaining a safe, efficient, and desirable workplace that can compete in a tight labor market. Time to get our hands dirty and do the hard work of training that was put off for so long.
good read
Yachting is indeed "OVER" - too many opinionated Yanks blowing their mouths off tbh
Thank you for sharing your thoughts, I agree on most things you said. What is missing is the negative and often unrealistic expectations of some owners. Yachting is no longer the same also because owners are no longer the same...
That was a good rant and right on point 😊
Who cares about super boat chartering? Is that yachting?
Where did that big bottle of VC come from? ;)
Best episode yet…
Excellent video

It's generational, not just Yachting. Most university business grads think they "deserve" to start out as Bank Vice Presidents. They haven't learned that no one "deserves " anything, it's what you have earned through hard work and perseverance gaining practical experience. Same in Yachting. A "Captains license" is simply A LICENSE to LEARN.
Cool to see behind the scenes! I learned a lot.
Nice
How do I become involved in working on a commissioning team?
Great job Doug!
Many new yacht builders now are putting all Lithium Ion batteries in their own separate compartment that has fire suppression and is air-conditioned.
