Brilliant Insight to the culture. There was also a love injection documentary from back in the 90's. Well worth a watch. The midlands and the north have set fi dem ting and it is solid. I can't lie, I use to love raving in the midlands. Them Vibes were very different to London. Had some real memorable times.

BIG UP V.ROCKET...Year to Year Sound..World Sound, from outa Nottingham England. No Sound Test di Rockect... it is the ONLY Sound that fly guh a Moon.

Back in the days, when they played Saxon sound. I had never heard of them before. But what a very good job they done of representing the sound system that were not at all from London and they sounded very good to my ears. 👍

Wow a Super giant congratulations to the makers of this documentary. I remember as a youth growing up in Brixton London in the Seventies. Im 63 now. But back then there was a Sound in London calling themselves V Rocket. They sometimes played at a teens dance every Sunday in Peckham called Settlement hall. Obviously they were just perpertrating a fraud because you guys are the Original V Rocket. Big up to the very gracious Lady V at the end for remembering past members no longer here RIP. And of course the parents who started the whole thing with a 50 watt sound. The legacy continues 🙌

Loved this film. V Rocket had one of the very best sounds (equipment wise) in the UK. Sounded perfect every time. And that Jammys dub box! Reuben once told me that when artists came to the UK and stayed in Nottingham, Valerie would ask him if he wanted to cut any dubs with them. Reuben always said no because he was only interested in cutting specials in Jamaica where artists would perform at their best. That's how sophisticated they were compared to most other UK sounds.

Full-joyed this film, excellently produced. V.Rocket was a heavy weight sound back in the day. Parliament was not only the boss but he was a wicked operator, him and Ruben was a powerful combination. Ruben was a ruff neck selector who gave every sound worries! Maximum respect V.Rocket family, great to see Parliament son carrying on the legacy.

Big respect to Ribs and Unity sound best sound to ever come out of Hackney. Man like Jack Reuben, Ray Naptali, Speccy and my two day ones since we were likkle yutes playing football in Hackney, Deman and his brother Flinty aka The Ragga Twins.

I remember my cousin from Nottingham telling me that V Rocket was a bad sound in the late 1970's. Also the guy in the video from Sovereign sound is the brother of Robbie from AFTV or Arsenal Fan TV the same Robbie who was Sovereigns main MC back in the day Crucial Robbie.
