Thank U Front Line

Obviously I am not a singer, but as a retired person, this represents my way of thanking not only front line workers, but all who are working through this pandemic. Thank you! Thanks also to Alanis Morissette for the tune and Chris Mann for words. I arranged the guitar using capo on the third fret and only three chords (G, C and D) if you want to play along! Cheers. GP

Fender Mustang I (V.2) Amp Description/Review Except for the poor editing, playing, lighting and sound, this is a great video! Leave comments, if you wish. Harley Benton Custom Line Nashville Steel Review
Просмотров 19 тыс.6 лет назад
I hope this is helpful for those considering this guitar. Please excuse the beginner playing style, poor amp and amateur video editing! Leave your comments and questions. Update Jul 2019: decided to sell this guitar. I found that it was a compromise between an electric and an acoustic, and as I have both, I tended not to pick this one up. Looked great on the wall though! GP

thanks, Mark!
So what was the conclusion you were saying that got all screwed up on the video???
Nice work! I should consider trying this. I just returned from the Canadian XCM Championships in Thunder Bay. It was very cool to be racing on the same course at the same time as the pros. They did the 90k in much less time than it took me to do the 60.
Nice, Kenneth. 60k is pretty awesome. Are you from BC?
Yes. I live in Prince George.
@@KennethCox-q9b Next years 55+ games will be in Nanaimo.
Conditions look great actually. I'd need a motor to get very far on that uphill though lol. Good job!
Conditions were good. The little bit of rain kept the dust down. Thanks for watching!
Absolute Insanity!!! Congratulations!
don't know what you mean, Kathy? Get yourselves some bikes and I can show you and Mike those trails!
Looks like a blast John!!
Thanks, Daryl. Took a couple of days to recover!
Does anybody know if i can reset the amp into factory mode , without a computer ? I bought a used one but dont know if the sounds are modified ( with software ) , just to be sure want it back into original sounds
thanks nice video!
thanks!
Have you seen the new Fender Mustang LT25 Amp and also the Fender Mustang LT50 amp?
No I have not; probably always improving their products.
Howdy JD I think I have it 'mastered' tks
👍
very thorough review! Thank you so much!
What kind of pedals do you recommend starting with on this amp?
thanks for your question, James. I am not really a pedals user (although I have a couple); this little amp delivers all the varied sounds that I feel I need. Cheers.
@@seniorbeginnerguitar have you tried the Remuda app? Let's you access the features from your device Cheers
I saw a programme about the Edmond Fitzgerald, here in the UK many, many years ago. As I recall, during the fateful voyage the Captain positioned the Edmond Fitzgerald alongside another smaller vessel who had engine troubles and was in danger of being overcome by the bad conditions. He positioned the Edmond Fitzgerald to protect the smaller vessel from the wind, and thankfully the smaller vessel managed to regain power and get underway, returning safely. Sadly not long after, the Edmond Fitzgerald and her crew were lost. Such a sad story. As I recall the front hold hatch was leaking and the hold filled with water but because conditions were so bad the crew never realised until too late. I hope I am referring to the right vessel. The Captain and crew were heroes for what they had done earlier to protect the smaller vessel. I only wish they made their destination so they could of been commended for their actions. A sad, sad event.
Hi Paul. The Wikipedia version of the episode is well written. Routine maintenance may have been neglected such that they took on water. The Captain of the Anderson was actually quite heroic for leaving the relative clam of Whitefish Bay to go back and search for the EF. Note that another Captain chose a unique northern route to avoid the worst of the weather. I have spent some time around Lake Superior, and the weather can be most unforgiving. Thanks for the comment. J
This is what I love about RUclips……….people like yourself who make a great, relevant video that helps so much. Thank you sir.
kind words, indeed. Thank you!
Thank god the clean setting. thanks a lot. And you can turn on the amp when you're pressing the tap button to get to the clean mod btw..
Like it😊
Thank you so much, especially for the clean start-up tip!
Thanks very much for explaining these settings. Especially on how to get a clean sound!. That was what I was wanting to have, but never seem to figure out. Thanks :)
how many watts in this unit?? immplanning to get one but confused about the watts, i know the back says 70w, but then all iber the internet it says 20watts only on the mustang 1 v2?
the model in the video is 20W of output. Fender also make many more models with various outputs. Cheers and thanks for watching.
excellent review my friend this is a great little practice amp and alot of fun to play with thank you for the extra insight...
Thank you. You really help me. You are good at explaining. If you dont tell, until dead i dont know.
Thank you for the knowledge sir.
Another old beginner thanks you. I just ordered one of these and am starting to think it's too much. But we'll see. Thanks for showing how to get a clean sound.
That's a great little amp, isn't it ? I really enjoy it and thanks for this video. Well done. ......and BTW, there's a few other websites that are posting the Fender FUSE software for free, since the Fender company is too cheap to do it anymore.
Fender says it's discontinued Fuse.
@@jwf2125 Fender stopped posting the FUSE download on their website, but the downloadable software still works. It doesn't rely on the internet to work.
@@jwf2125 They discontinued hosting on their website but it still works,. There's plenty of other's who are making it available to download for free and it doesn't need the internet to work.
@@jwf2125 Fender discontinued hosting it, but it still works great.

Thank you
One question Do you know any way to mix 2 different effects For example chorus and tremolo
I do not; the only way I see is through the software program that I am told is no longer supported.
Thank you for that tutorial. It’s the best I’ve seen yet!!!
Thanks!
Thanks Mate - great Video and clear explanation. BONZA John
THANK YOU, PRETTY COOL
I am a beginner guitar player at age 55. I bought this same used amp to go with an electric guitar I inherited from a family member who passed. There was not instructions and FINALLY, FINALLY, I found someone who explain this with amazing patience. Your detail and simple explanation with providing the sound for a beginner to understand was fantastic. Thank you so much. I hope you make one to help understand the amps (ability) to download off the Fender site.
Glad you like the amp ! I like mine quite a bit too. If you don't have the Fender Fuse software for it, you can find on the RUclips Channel called " In the Blues". The guy named Shane , who's channel it is, has the software link posted for free, if you look for the Mustang vids in his You Tube video library.
welcome to the wonderful world of guitar playing my friend learn the major chords first then from there its a breeze😉
Same here. 55. living room player. Can't read music, just mucking around by ear - making stuff up as I go and after 20 yrs with a basic $15 amp with no effects, got this one used 2 days ago for $80- now almost blinded by choice and trying not to get overwhelmed. Now i can get that bluesy tone with delay and some echo/reverb which I dreamed of all these years.
Tem um som brilhante é muito bom para iniciar.
Sounds good, iam 67 an been playing guitar all my life, I have a bunch of guitars and a harley benton mustang copy, thinking of getting this 62 strat copy an upgrading it,I love upgrading them, keep on playing
Hey Paul. I am also 67 and started my first guitar journey at the very young age of 61. I wish I had started earlier but I'm thankful that I started at all. Thanks for reaching out.
Great job my hillbilly friend. Extremely useful. I just bought a used one so I am clueless. Can I have your guitar, I need one.
Thanks. 'Just learned how to use the built in tuner. 😂
That tip in the end on how to get a clean sound was amazing.
I wish I knew what the light on the top left of the gain knob does. Goes occasionally red or green. Anyone?
this light turns red or green based on which footswitch preset is active.
@@seniorbeginnerguitar ah, right. Thanks for that. So, if no foot switch is connected, then red/green will show as the factory defaults?
Thanks very useful, just want to know if the gain is apart from the other effects?
My understanding of gain is that it's the power going through your amp. It is not another volume control. Too much gain and the overall sound distorts. Not enough, and you don't get the full sound. I suggest turning the gain up until distortion starts and then back it off a little.
Thank you Máster👍from Valencia,Spain
Boy did I need this tutorial!! I bought a used one (May 2023) and needed to know how it operates. I called Fender and they no longer do support for it. So, whomever owned it last, left me stuck with their presets. Ugh! Thank you for this video!! 👍
To reset amp to factory settings, hold exit while turning amp on
@@drjay927 Excellent!! Thank you so very much for the help!!! 🎸😀👍
please, add your text!
There's a general lack of guidance on the internet (including the manuals) on the basics of how this amp functions but this video clarifies a lot so thanks for posting.
my pleasure. Glad it is of some use. Cheers.
Much appreciated. Especially the up close shots of the controls. Being being visually impaired, this helped out a lot.
OMG that was great! Editing, lighting, captions, and of course best of all super advice. Like you were in my living room! Possibly just the inspiration I need.....between painting chores.
thanks Glen! Glad you enjoyed it. We can do some "jamming" next time you are up this way!
Thank you!!!
t6hanks good man you helped me a lot .!.!.!
Remarkable tutorial. I just bought one along with a old Les Paul 100. But what I'm really looking forward to is running my 87 Charvel MJ HSS through it
how are you liking your Mustang after a year of having it ?
@@jimdep6542 I have not really run it much. I buy, recondition and sell a lot of gear and guitars. Have my favorites 😉
That's pretty fortunate that you have access to a lot of gear. How'd your Les Paul do with the Mustang ?
@@jimdep6542 I am not wealthy by material means, I just enjoy buying old gear and guitars and restoring. I have to admit that the Mustang is a versatile and efficient as well as cost effective way to get nice replications of tones that would otherwise be costly
Perhaps my only criticism would be no output to a mixer for monitors, but overall a solid piece. Unless I haven't found it.
Wow thank you i was so frustrated getting the clean sound.
TQ....
15:10 lmfao, this was so funny. also great review thank you
I normally play through a blues Jr. 4 but got one of these in a trade today and thought it would just be a fun little practice amp but I was pulling my hair out trying to find a clean sound as you described so I want to thank you for showing us that little hold both buttons trick , it works great 👍 thank you , much appreciated 👍 thank you !
You're most welcome and glad it works for you. Cheers.
I use a blues Jr. Too . Great amp and I hated these till I watched this and got that clean channel
