even though self-harm is dangerous, I'm so tired of hearing "You need to get immediate help" and having that be the only tip. I wish people would give a list of alternatives to it, instead of just saying, "Oh, you self-harm? All I can do is refer you to somewhere else!" it makes me feel like I'm crazy.

Im only a week and two days past my recent trama... my husband reversed his vecectomy after 21 years.. w got pregnant. however out of nowhere i got an extreame mystery illness,( week ago) i was.. 3 mo. pregnant.. i went to E.R. and they said they suspect lymphoma cancer😢 my neck kept extreme swelling they did CT w contrast dye.😢 I kept getting worse. i thought what if i die? Or have cancer!! I knew i wouldnt do an abortion... ...and then so very ill..the next day went for my ultrasound.. ( baby was dead no heart beat completely still) completely devastated😢 then next day right to Emergency D&C procedure.. thankfully i didn't need a transfusion. I had two friends willing to donate. I still dont have an answer of the cancer bc i need a specialist to look at me in two weeks. Im not in the clear yet. Im also "old" almost 42 so the door of my fertility is probably shut. It seemed i had a miracle pregnancy ..thento loosing the baby and then possibly my health... I have weeks of bleeding i need to deal w ..and not knowing if im heading to cancer or not. My hormones took a steep dive after surgery..so im not stable..its hard to function when everything and everyone seems just normal.. and now you feel completely morphed not sure what tomorrow will bring.( Im only 1 week 2 days from my ordeal) i feel strange never felt so close to death and dieing and my dreams just fell to the floor.

I know this video is ultra simplified for the majority of the public, but it is missing a MAJOR point. “Healthy” vs “Unhealthy” isn’t a great way to word it. “Adaptive” vs “Maladaptive” is better. The primary goal of coping, is to find a way to reduce stress while adapting to the situation. Avoidance, rumination, venting, etc. are all Maladaptive (or anti-adaptive) So will doing the “coping mechanism” actually help you in some way? Does it benefit you while also helping you process what you are dealing with? Giving a Good vs Bad list isn’t necessarily going to teach viewers how coping works, and why we need it.

It's the physical symptoms too. Sleeping 12+ hours and still couldn't get out of bed. Not feeling energised throughout the day and still feeling fatigued. Losing alot of weight or gaining alot in a short time span. Back and neck pains. Your brain feels like it's slowed down you can't process what's happening around you, everything is going by so fast. You cannot think of words to say or you speak slower. Simple tasks like taking a shower or brushing your teeth seem harder than it actually is. If you can't afford therapy there is a way to fix it. Meditation helps a lot. It has been proven to help more than medication. I would also like to add that crying does not necessarily mean you have depression and can occur when you have a mental breakdown or you're overwhelmed. Not being able to cry is also common in major depressive disorder.I hope this helps keep your head up!

Anxiety is a result from staying in relationship with difficult people especially children who have no way else to find better choice to depend on. I'm Asian an I have no access to mental health professionals in my city. Well after been traumatized by family for years I finally healed by self diagnosed self healing.

Some unfriend I’m texting till the end Since I’m addicted to my phone I’m left here all alone Some boys crash and some boys fall ‘Cause they can’t see the wall Social media is my bliss But real life I miss Repeat refrain

Nice video. To reduce stress and overthinking be careful what you feed your mind. Avoid comparing yourself with others, reduce watching negative social media and news channels and avoid constipation as it affects the mind. Your breathing is closely related to the brain [mind] and gives relief from stress-anxiety. For a relaxed mind observe the sensations of your natural incoming--outgoing breath at the entrance of the nostrils for 10-15 minutes or more. You can sit or lay down--eyes closed--No deep breathing. Don’t fight your thoughts. Never meditate with expectations. Make it a lifetime habit to observe your breath day and night with eyes open or closed before sleep, at work, when travelling, taking a walk etc Best wishes--Counsellor.

WHEN I FAIL AT INCORPORATING THE TIDINESS OF GATHERING THOUGHTS AND FEELING'S AND EMOTIONS.... LACKING THE FEELING OF ATTRACTIVENESS (BRAINS & BEAUTY) AM I TIRED ENOUGH OF MY PRESENT OR FUTURE CIRCUMSTANCES TO PURSUE THE IDEA OF GETTING ME SOME HELP. THEN , PERHAPS I'VE ACCEPTED THE REALITY OF THE CONSEQUENCES OF SEEKING OUT SOMEONE TO RELATE TO ON A PERSONAL, PRIVATE AND CONFIDENTIAL LEVEL... FOR WHERE WOULD A PERPETRATOR LOOK FIRST FOR SOMEONE TO VICTIMIZE OTHER THAN THE PLACES NEEDY & EMOTIONALLY UNWELL PPL HANG OUT..... THE PSYCHIATRIC HOSPITAL AND PSYCHO-THERAPIST OFFICE BUILDINGS!!!!! I'M BEING A BIT DRAMATIC SOMEWHAT OVER THE TOP OR OVER THE EDGE. DOES PARANOIA GET THE BEST OF YOU WHEN YOU'RE AFRAID. YOU ASK ALL THE RIGHT PPL THE RIGHT QUESTIONS AND THEN NOSEY INTRUDERS TRY AND MAKE A PLAY UPON YOUR CHILDREN AND FAMILY BASED SOLELY OR PARTIALLY UPON THE THINGS THEY'VE HEARD ABOUT YOU, OR WHAT THEY THINK THEY KNOW ABOUT YOU . EITHER WAY THEY'RE ENTICED AND PERSUADED TO MAKE YOU THEIR VICTIM. WHERE DOES THEIR RATIONALE OR IDEOLOGY COME FROM.... REALLY. MEANWHILE YOU'RE STILL FIGHTING DEPRESSION AND THE FACT THAT THEY'RE BLAMING YOU FOR THE BEHAVIOR THEY POSSESS. ARE THOSE WHO OPPOSE YOU GUILTY OF NEGLECTING THEIR LACK OF MENTAL, SOCIAL AND EMOTIONAL STABILITY! YOU GO TO GROUP THERAPY FOR THE MERE RELEVANCE OF NOT BEING ALONE AND HAVING SOMEONE TO RELATE TO, ONLY TO EXPERIENCE THE MOST DECEITFUL MALICIOUS INTENT TO BECOME ATTACKED BY/ BEING TARGETED BY SOMEONE WHO IS SUPPOSED TO BE THERE TO GET HELP FOR THEIR PROBLEMS AND DYSFUNCTIONS JUST LIKE YOU'RE TRYING OR ATTEMPTING TO DO FOR YOU!!!!! WHERE IS IT YOU CAN GO AS TO NOT BECOME TAUNTED, HARASSED, AND EMOTIONALLY UNHINGED. YOUR BEST ADVICE AND EMOTIONAL SUPPORT IS APPRECIATED. THANK YOU !!!

There is something that will impede your advancement as I told my own subscribers. Addiction to social media. Now social media can be a good thing for advertising your business, YT channel or the like. But having your entire existence based on it is not. First there is the unhealthy aspect of comparing yourself to other profiles which usually aren't nearly as stellar in real life as they are on the front page. Then there is the aspect where your validation is being sought from people you rarely talk to in real life--if ever. Not to mention the constant quest of follows and likes also drops minute amounts of dopamine in your system literally physically making you addicted to social media. Which leads to later anxiety increase and depression. But also--if you are spending all your time on your iPhone then you aren't advancing yourself. Think about how much more you could learn about stock trading if you cut social media 90% down? That's my end point. It should be a very small part of your life not the center of it. Hope that helps someone out there---Charles
