A SEASONED APPRAISER WHO WELCOMES A CHALLENGE
I am thrilled to offer you and your art and antiques my 30 years of appraisal expertise. I am proud to say I have never met a work of art or a piece of furniture that I could not research and evaluate for my wonderful clients.
I am diligent, I am thorough, I am knowledgeable, and even if I didn't make a living as an appraiser, I would STILL be an appraiser. My first visit to your home is free in most cases (if you are in the Santa Barbara area).

ruclips.net/video/cSlsvhXMrTE/видео.htmlsi=ctaxD-ETdfm9i_6u. I found this one at an estate sale , I really love it
Beautiful, I really enjoyed your home and collections ❤
Yeah I’m going to pass on this $5 thrift store “good painting” because it’s only worth $1,000 instead of $5,000.
Someone cute talking about a cute painting.
Elizabeth I would like to contact you regarding a painting that my wife and I are considering buying
Full of beans you are
Is her audience paying for this advice?
Is that Sarah Jessica Parker's mother?
People like to be sold, and lectured. I buy them because the frame is nice, often times the frame alone is worth 2x-3x the panting.
Once I asked a persian carpet dealer. How does one choose? He said1) do you like it? 2) Can you afford it? 3) Do you have a space to display it? I would add: is it good quality? Let the rest of other people's opinions (opo's) go
she is full of shite
may i get your contact? or email or ig for direct message,i wanna show you my karl collections.
hy miss i have one of the collections of karl.is this worth?
Often the paintings in thrift stores are amateur or “outsider” paintings. They can be fun and delightful, creative and funny, and break all the rules. I buy them if they make me happy. I am a trained artist myself, but what is commercially popular or valuable is not what makes the heart sing.
I would buy it for the frame.
Watch Dr. Lori ‘s video on thrift store paintings… makes more sense👍
Where’s the loupe? 🤔
A 706 is a IRS filing for estates with a value of $13 million or more in 2023. Smaller estates do not file this form. What is critical is date of death valuation for it resets the tax basis. The appraisal should be done within 6 months of death. In reality, all appraisals don't represent "the market price' as no one knows the auction price. Auction transaction costs are huge approx. 30%. It's just a messy process regardless of planning.
Art is language of Soul-can’t be appreciated or explained only by analytics
this is a well-balanced composition. the background fence follows the same shape as the sheep in the foreground (upside down V) also the left side works well also.
Let them use this way of appraisal, so I can get real priceless art, after they leave! 😂
what a load of rubbish . How would she rate a Rothco or a Bacon of a Twomley . Buy what makes you want to look again and again at the same painting alnd knowing that the pleasure returns each time.
Thank you, very much, for sharing your knowledge and experience.
I buy a painting if it speaks to me, that’s all.
Xxx agree
Hello Ma'am , Really every video of yours is very nice but for not doing proper SEO your video don't rank. If you want, I can improve your channel with all responsibilities with 100 % Satisfaction.
Why did you have to bring race into this discussion?
Didn't learn a thing because there wasn't an example of what she considered better quality to compare.
I'd buy it for the frame, but not at that price. Interesting talk.
The value of a painting is what you can sell it for and unfortunately the name of an artist is everything. So for me I just luck for art I want to hand in my home myself.
I luv this find from a thrift store just the way it is... its' beautiful! And I would definitely buy regardless of the artist.
Educational.
over egging the pudding......
Man, I love the way she's dressed.
Same 😊
Such class.
She looks so classy
I like the cane🧐
Yes! She is so interesting, pulled together, quirky and classy all at her advanced age! Beautiful ❤️❤️❤️😍
To ambiguous. This is for wannabe art flippers. if you love the art bye it.

LATINX: ANOTHER RACIAL SLUR FOR HISPANICS....
If I like it, it’s a good painting. It’s what I personally will enjoy in my home! I agree with what you say about compositions. I love landscapes just the same and I love paintings like the girl with the red hair. Many people love the art I pick and if they say they don’t like it, it’s their loss. They don’t have to look at it! I love looking at my art. Whether it’s a a rooster called His Majesty by a lady in Vancouver or Victorian picnics by an English artist, I enjoy each and every one of them!
Is this Sahara Jessica Parker’s mother?
I was thinking she looks like an older version of SJP lol
Are you an artist? Do you judge art by what will sell? Are you a decorator?
Critiquing a thrift store painting as if it were displayed in a museum seems bizarre and rather pointless. I have browsed thrift stores for decades looking for paintings. It almost never happens that I find a painting worth buying for its own sake as art. Mostly the frames are better than the paintings. When I do buy a thrift store painting the typical plan is to either discard or paint over the painting, and most likely use the frame for a better artwork. In some cases I can improve the resale value of the painting by "fixing it up", that is, repaint some areas to improve its artistic quality and eye appeal. Oh, and don't worry. I'm not finding paintings by George Inness or any artist of this quality when I dare to retouch a painting. For the most part, paintings that end up in thrift stores are there for a reason.
Yup
Thank you Elizabeth. This is spot on, enlightening, difficult to hear at times, but very helpful. Your comments on showing the process is something I've collected, but not really shared. I'll do so now.
Here' to the ladies who lunch - learning how to appraise thrift store art. That's right - people who can afford masterpieces are competing with the 98% for possible hidden gems in the slums. Cute.
Send me any amount of money to my bank account and I will return you 4 times the amount back. T

Thank you for the good information on these 😊 !
Can you appraise a piece for me?
What a crock of shit. Valuations are way too high.
It’s stunning if I had the money I’d buy it, although I could probably make a recreation
