I play and commentate video games. I like putting up blind playthroughs and re-plays of games that I love. My preferred games are Zelda, Super Metroid, Musou, platformers, adventure, and pretty much anything that looks, sounds, or is vibecore. I try to keep things positive and clean for the good people who come to my channel.

Yeeeah found a fellow KCD Switch player! 👊 I’m excited for this. Just got into it myself recently, & have spent far too long getting sidetracked by becoming a burglar/thief extraordinaire in Rattay (& a bit in Talmberg during prologue). 🥷 I guess my Henry will have to repent later in the game, or perhaps next playthrough. 😅
lol. I think i played Henry more as a paladin. Maybe we get different dialog and quests that way though. Still need to finish the post-ending quests and some DLC.
Aw they fixed the voice acting. How unfortunate. It was really funny before lol
Thanks for playing! Glad you enjoyed the game.
OMG! It was a wonderful game and your music was beautiful!
Oil. What other games you would like to play that is co-op?
I almost only play single player games. I am looking forward to trying out one of the Smash games and one of the Mario Kart games at some point though.
Oil
What are you using to record? Or is this on emulator?
I'm playing on Gamecube with a GCHD Mk-II converting to HDMI. This was mostly a test to make sure it looks/sounds ok for a full livestream.
Hi
Hi! Thanks for stopping by the stream and I hope you enjoyed it.
wow so cool
Glad you're enjoying the series. This is a really fun game!
5 hours 🤯
It's such a big game!
I love polka
I haven't heard much polka, but love Kass' music segments!
Polka!!!!! Aya!!
If you rewatch the penultimate VOD you'll probably notice where at least one of the artifacts you're missing is. I mean, you already know where all the artifacts you're missing are, generally, thanks to the lantern upgrade, but you know what I mean. Also, the map isn't always clear on what's a dead end with a decorative door and what's an actual unexplored room, so use the Exploration stats in the pause menu to check if you've discovered all the rooms.
Thanks!
Also, one positive side effect of removing the whole "Lucrezia takes back over during the Si Vales Valeo" subplot is that Zola leaving the castle doesn't feel like a pyrrhic victory anymore, since there isn't a copy of Lucrezia in her mind. God this comic's plot is convoluted
Funniest change this game makes, hands down: Gil and Tarvek show up to the final battle to help Agatha, but only Moloch does anything useful. More than makes up for him not being the one to repair the waterwheel in the Great Movement Chamber. (Well, him and Snaug, but she's not in this game at all.)
The Zola fights are no joke. I can't tell you how many times I got her down to just one sliver of health in the last phase of the second fight and still lost... not to mention how hard it was to get that far. Her dash attack is so tricky even when you know the dodge timing. On my next playthrough I'm gonna see if the secret upgrade you never unlocked helps.
I definitely need to scour the castle for more unlockables!
Next time I want to re-read Girl Genius from the beginning... I doubt I'll do it through the in-game comics, but I could.
I like that they added that value to the game.
I lied earlier when I said the biggest change was keeping Gil and Tarvek strapped down. I had somehow forgotten that they'd entirely cut out Lucrezia taking over during the Si Vales Valeo. Makes sense; that would have been a non-starter from a gameplay perspective.
Wait, is the guy in "the path to enlightenment is [redacted]" the same guy strapped to the table in "never forget your hat"? I'll need to check.
Lucrezia is definitely human, at least at first. It's unclear, but my sense is that she got trapped outside of time or in another dimension or something, and holds a lot of bitterness toward the Heterodyne Boys (and maybe Klaus as well) for not rescuing her. That's when she met the Geisterdamen, possibly after they'd already met a future version of her.
I tend to think of her like a "Super-Spark" like she's further along in becoming a creature like the Queen of England.
@ Probably, which would explain why (in the comic, but not the game) her secret lab is right beneath the source of the Dyne.
I actually got softlocked in the Heart of the Castle - I died in the middle of the cutscene for turning one of the cranks on the first floor, so it was activated in the level but not marked as completed in the quest. Luckily the game has a built-in "back up to an earlier save" feature so I wasn't totally screwed.
Not having Gil and Tarvek up and about while curing the resplendent immolation is probably the single biggest change the game makes, but honestly it works much better for the game this way. Having them follow Agatha around as she descends wouldn't have added anything gameplay-wise and would have just made things more tedious. It is the first domino in a chain that leads to the game not being very clear about why the castle objects to Agatha's plan to cure herself, but whatcha gonna do?
I didn't actually realize you could use the drill to take out Nyar Spiders until after I beat the game.
hate those spiders, but i love the drill attachment!
One change that I didn't realize the game made until now: In the comic, Agatha definitely did *not* turn down the power of her death ray like the castle wanted her to. Makes sense, since the game also cuts out Von Pinn, meaning Agatha never needs to blow a hole through several floors and right into Lucrezia's secret lab.
The game seems to be trying to minimize how Agatha is also a Spark and capable of at least as much destruction as anyone else.
@ That's not quite my read. It's more like the game wants you to be able to use the death ray without permanently changing the level geometry.
I was stuck on the Observatory for so long because I missed that the lamp closed the other bridge. But when I figured it out, I was rewarded with the one piece of lore I was most looking forward to: Robur Heterodyne's lunch improver.
lol! I don't think I got that! I still have to go back for 100% in the game.
@ You did unlock that lore when you examined the rubble in the observatory, I just don't think you realized what it was in the context of the comic.
@@Pablo360able I'm a fan of the comic, but I've only read through it once up to about 2 years ago. I started reading it a few years after they started it, but i take years away to give them time to write a significant chunk for me to read. Still, I like recommending it to others.
@ Right. So, basically, Robur's experiments with time were something that was brought up a couple times in the comic, it's why the Dreen (those cloaked figures with the wide hats) are here, it's how the Castle can function within the time stop, and I believe it's indirectly responsible for a lot more of the overarching plot than we yet know. And all because he wanted to extend lunch.
I noticed that the game was really playing fast and loose with some of the plot points about Tarvek's illness and the process to cure it. Later on I think that results in some weak spots that would probably leave anyone who didn't read the comic scratching their heads, but for now it just means bringing up the idea of running a current through him right now, way earlier than that becomes a part of the plan in the comic, which works fairly well.
I think (can't recall exactly) that saving Tarvek took something like 50 pages to resolve. Might have been overly confusing for the game to cover correctly.
You realize you could have just lowered the bridge in the Foundry and gotten back to the main door to the Great Cog very quickly, right? Without going back through the entire room again?
It took me a while to get a good mental map in the game.
It's interesting that this game seems to merge Dr. Silas Merlot with Professor Tiktoffen. It makes sense; Tiktoffen's plot only really makes sense in the context of the larger political machinations and wouldn't fit in here.
Yeah. They've simplified quite a bit, but it still feels like they're honoring the story. I just wish they could have gotten the Jagers into the game. Maybe a musou type game somewhere down the road if this one sells well.
@ To be fair, there's technically only one jager they cut out of *this part* of the story, and we didn't know he was a jager at the time.
Moloch was a soldier working for the Gilded Duke (whoever that is). He met Agatha when his brother Omar stole her locket and inadvertently caused her awakening.
When you look on the ground at 46:18 you can see footprints leading into the water. After hundreds of thousands of years of enforced imprisonment he decided that it's time to end it. Looking forward to seeing you finish Outer Wilds one final time.
This has been such a great game. And details like the footprints show how much care the developers took to give us a unique experience.
Congrats on reaching the first ending! Yea things got really creepy towards the end but now you get to explore and find secrets.
Thanks! The next session will air on Dec 21. I'm definitely not done with this game!
Am I the only masochist who did this chase without fast travel? Lol I just didn't think about it at all and just ran the whole route.
For being a pixel game, it's very good at building dread. I wanted to go as quickly as possible because I didn't want to get destroyed and I'm not very good at platforming.
@QuillpigGaming That's fair. It took me a minute to perfect the chase 😅
Why they gotta ruin games by putting such ridiculous and tedious things in them
I think there's a type of player (not me) who really likes when they put secret things in games that require multiple playthroughs to find everything.
Hey, I have a request. Perhaps in the future when you play a game with no voice acting can you read aloud the dialogue. I'm not asking for you to try and give each character their own voice but for you just to read it normally. It would be nice to know what's going on when you can't see. Im loving the playthrough so far and I like your voice (´^ω^)
Thanks for watching! I go back and forth about reading dialog aloud. Probably should have started that way with this playthrough, but later episodes I definitely switched over to reading out loud. Good feedback!
It will take a bit of practice from your side but you can go full throttle(most of the time) in Dark Bramble if you stay away from the Anglerfish's light.
lol. i'm terrible with the ship piloting and then i get seriously tense around the angler fish.
Love finding a new playthrough of one of my favorite games, and havr it be an actual adult, with a calm, normal attitude. Subbed! Also, love that you're interested in the historical aspects of the game. It's not perfectly accurate, but it is VERY close! Especially the world events and the locations. They did a fantastic job making it an interesting game while keeping it as historically accurate as they could.
Sorry, left a comment for a different video on this one 🤦♀️ ugggh So, I deleted the mistake one
It's a great game! It's rare to get something this complex on the Switch so the closest I think I've played before was Witcher 3, but KCD felt even better.
Wow you figured out the fast travel super quickly lol. I think I was several hours in before I learned that.
lol. i think the first one was an accident, but i play a LOT of metroidvania games, so i'm always on the lookout for fast travel systems
I've never seen someone get the bubble wand as their first upgrade. It's honestly kinda fascinating
I haven't watched anyone else's playthroughs yet, but after I finish, I'd like to see how other people did it.
I got the bubble wand as my first upgrade. I deduced something about it almost immediately though which lead to a really different playthrough from what I've seen from other people. It's wild to me how many approaches you can take which vastly change your route through the world.
Very good stream quill, I hope your doing well, and I hope I can view another one of your streams, cya quill
I hope so too! Have a good day!
@ thanks you too
Hello dude! You’re doing very well by the way, you inspired me lots so I was gonna ask how you can make RUclips videos on Nintendo? If you don’t mind could you tell me how YOU do it? I you can or will I will appreciate so much, because I’m gonna start doing Zelda content, thanks if you see this and good luck in the future of RUclips man
Thanks for watching! Asking that exact question is how I started too. I bought an Elgato HD60X capture card which sits between your Nintendo Switch and monitor. That video and audio are captured and recorded in OBS software along with my microphone. Start a channel and send me a link!

after fighting, your units go into a fatigued state for one of the 4 rounds. the jabena allowed your unit of swordsmen to attack twice before fatigue. so instead of waiting a round for all of your troops to recover, you sent in your single "non fatigued" unit by itself to die
ok. that makes a lot of sense. i'm definitely going to play the full game
I see a funny name i click
thanks for watching!
Awesome Stream Bro!
Thanks! By far my longest stream, but I'll keep doing these weekly at least until I've completed a few more Zelda titles for the channel. Thanks for watching!
No problem.
why did you play on the switch?it is,so hard for me to say this, not powerful enough for a perfect experience, the transition between loops is only supposed to be as long as the animation
I thought there was some mechanic making waking up harder and harder, then someone recommended completely closing the game and reopening it every 3-5 loops. Runs much smoother that way, but I think the Switch version has memory leaks.
The switch version looks like a bit of a buggy mess lol
It IS a bit buggy, but a Switch is all I play on. So glad they made a physical version for this game and that some wonderful people recommended we play it for the channel after Tunic.
did the guy that voiced Geralt voice the intro?
I didn't even notice that! Just checked and you're right!
@@QuillpigGaming wow, neat
I like how slow you take things, one of the best ways to experience the game IMO.
lol. I'm kind of a slow gamer in general. This game was kinda like Tunic for me though. I had to play for a bit and then think about it for most of a day to try and come up with new questions and put answers together. There aren't many games like this.
1:08:37 You found a tear! Those are exceptionally rare, what a cool find!
Honestly surprised the game runs as well as it does on Switch hardware.
The tutorial is legitimately one of my favorite places in the game. You barely even notice its there!
Really love this game. I had no idea what I was getting into!

Episode 2? Not sure what you mean.
@@QuillpigGamingI meant you could Play the Demo of DoD2 (the Dead King's Secret) but I realize now you played on Switch and the Demo is on Steam only so far.. i really enjoyed your Video btw 😊
@@doctorfunfrock Thanks! I liked the demo, but hope they made some improvements on the sequel. I like playing at least one indie game at all times for the channel and these demos are helping.
@@QuillpigGamingwhat kind of improvements would you hope for?
@@doctorfunfrock not having played the whole first game, i just assume general improvements. like things that they learned while making the first one. wasn't trying to imply anything against the demo.
Love the art & music in this game, another metroidvania I need to try. Great stuff 👍
It's a great game and I really liked the world-building (even tho I'm not sure where historical folklore ends and they begin) and music. There is a little late game difficulty uneven-ness.
