Sleepy6 Third Gear Pull 35-90

One gear only, floored from 35-90mph. 10psi boost, #3 nozzle 50/50 meth injection. Engine is a parallel Twin turbo Ford 4.9L six cylinder in a 1969 F100 with 3 speed manual.

Showing you my work on adapting a larger 302 (5.0) throttle body onto a 300 (4.9) manifold. I made the adapter spacer out of nylon for chemical and heat resistance.

I've been doing some tuning on the old ford and realized I hadn't posted a video in a while. Sorry about camera jerkiness, hard to hold a phone, shift, and keep it on the road. The screen you see is a Raspberry Pi running tunerstudio hooked up to the Microsquirt ECU. I'll have to figure out how to get the GPS dongle to run faster than 1Hz, it'll get quicker speed updates then.

Rebuilt twin turbo 300, all fuel injected now, easier to run. Sorry I seem a little spacey, didn't really script it. Things I forgot to mention on the video that are different: Oil cooler and roller rockers.

Roughly Tuned and 5psi boost. Ford 300 inline six, twin turbo. It's a bummer the audio and video didn't work out as I had hoped.

Ford built in a mechanical REV limiter that needs a manual reset by placing the pushrods back between the lifter and rocker arm. Other then that those engines are bulletproof
I remember that when I helped them out on the farm, I was probably 9 or 10 years old. Their teenage son got pissed and held it to the board when he was trying to get unstuck from some mud. Bout 20mins and it was alive again.

Hope you put better parts inside or it will be a short ride. They do good super changed but turbos push to many RPMs and the crack is only good for about 4k.
You just said you don't know what you're talking about without saying you don't know what you're talking about. Turbos are used on low RPM applications And the Ford 300 is one of the most reliable low RPM gasoline engines built.

I just did pretty much the same thing with my 4.9, I put a 5.8 throttle body on and there’s a noticeable difference in power, my only problem is I have a really high idol now, did you run into that or have any suggestions?

What trans set up?
5-6 is your hottest cylinder and keep your eye on the temps, 1100 is a perfect burn don’t go to lean for a long time will burn a pistons

Subaru turbos eh? I put one of those on a 1961 261 Chevy inline six in an old grain truck and it worked pretty good till the front seal went out but it was a draw through type build and there was 30" vacuum at idle. Can't wait to see how they work in a blow through type setup

Jeep actually have there own inline 6 just in case you didnt know that. Also a beast of a motor.

@@robertdinicola9225FR! My uncle has one of these in a 78' f150. The truck itself is in complete disrepair due to it not being able to be kept up, but we went out where he was keeping the truck and it fuckin started like a champ. Those things will still be alive even after the entire trucks rot away

Unless it's a fully built engine(which I doubt it is) It will most likely blow up on first Dyno pull
