Honestly, I don't plan on using a webcam, I'm still not comfortable speaking on the microphone. I usually play games in the dark, and I see a webcam as another potential point of failure in the technical process. Perhaps if I were a cute ASMR girl, I might feel differently, but those days are over. 😒

No, there isn't a lot you can do about it. If you are playing the game on a SSD vs a HDD it might be a little faster. I would also be careful with using "Quick Saves" & "Quick Loads" too much, they tend to glitch the game out.

I didn't mention it to you in the last comment... There is a "4GB Memory Patch" that may help you with your loading times. You can find this information in my "Config & Tech" video for "F.E.A.R. 1". I talk about it and there is a link to the patch in the video description. Hope you find a solution.

Yes, the original was from 2001 and this is the Remake from 2015. It was ported to Windows in 2017, which is what I am playing. Actually, a lot of things are different, really too many things to count. Besides the normal stuff, better graphics, sound, and performance. There are new ghosts, stories, collectibles, etc. Both the original and the remake are worth playing in my opinion. I can't say that I have experienced FPS that low in Penumbra. I have had more FPS issues with "Amnesia: The Dark Descent" in the past, and I would contribute that to the "Lighting" and it being an "OpenGL" game. Everyone seems to get different results in these games no matter what. My advice is to just keep experimenting until you get things stable enough for your system and setup. Either through the games settings/config and messing around with "Nvidia" settings.

@PenumbraPlays Yep, yesterday i found problem, it was in nVidia settings. "Threaded optimization" was killing performance so setting it to OFF solved issue 👍🏻

A little somethin' somethin'. Yeah, it's a Metal Slug clone, but it's a decent one. A big improvement over Gunforce 1.

@@PenumbraPlays Actually, this was a precursor to MS. When Irem went under, the team that made this game went on to form Nasca, which would make the beloved franchise.

This is correct, Gunforce 2 - 1994 and Metal Slug 1 - 1996.

Although I didn't have issues with sound or music, here is what I would suggest. In the "BinaryDomainConfiguration.exe", go to the "Audio Configuration" tab. Under the "Audio Adapter" setting, you may need to pick either "Default", or your actual sound device. Make sure the "Volume Slider" is set to "100". You may also need to adjust the "Input Audio Adapter" setting. You might try disabling your microphone directly if you also use one. Since this game has a "Voice Recognition" system built in, it could be causing a conflict. If audio works in other games fine for you, then you know it is a Binary Domain specific issue. The "BinaryDomainConfiguration.exe" is really the only place to adjust the game settings. Aside from the few options when you are actually in the game playing. I hope that helps and that you figure out a solution.

Another thing you should check that is simple but a possible solution. While the game is running check your "Volume Mixer" in Windows. Make sure the "Binary Domain" slider is not set to "0" or "Muted".

I think maybe you’re asking me how did I get Bobby to follow me from room to room? Pathing may be different than the original game because I’m using the “Deluxe” mod. I honestly don’t remember if I picked “Original” pathing or “Mod Pathing” when I patched the game. I believe the mod talks about it in the read me file.

Correction... It's in the "Clock Tower Deluxe - List of changes.xlsx" when you download the ".zip" That's where it talks about the pathing option and lists all the modifications to the original game.
