Made the trip in 1991 in a c-tan on straight floats up the coast to sterling then dilingham back to anchorage on towards tok with a stop at tananda lk for a reunion then down the copper river to Cordova then Juneau back down the coast to tenino Washington. Great trip.

Thanks for sharing. I think that “floats” to Alaska is a misnomer when the trip up was all on wheels. I want to make the trip on straight floats and was hoping to gain some knowledge. Good to see all the different cabins though.

Thank you Bill I was raised in juneau ak on douglas Island back in the early 70s and spent most of my youth camping,trapping and hunting at many of these cabins .Dan Moller ski trail and old 3rd cabin was directly up behind our house up the old ski trail. We ran traplines and hunted for deer,ptarmagin and blue grouse up there at third cabin for well over 2 decades was my favorite pastime ..shot my first 3x3 sitka blacktail buck up there and many more while camping out at old dan moller cabin.all the great memories this brings back to me will never be forgotten .
