This ride is overrated in my opinion but I’m excited to cut down my wait times for this ride

I do wish that less of the ride was on a screen and there was at least one character animatronic. But I agree, it will be very nice to have a shorter wait time!

But why does it matter? Whether is true or not, I don’t know. But I just don’t see why it would matter. I don’t mean it in a rude way. Just if you think about it, it’s not different visually. Nowadays there are prop skeletons that look exactly like real ones. So if there are still real skeletons it’s not like it will disturb anyone riding. And if it’s for the point of it not being fair a human skeleton is used as a prop it doesn’t really matter because back then lots of skeletons were sourced unethically (even if Disney sourced them all from ucla that doesn’t necessarily mean ucla sourced them ethically). And getting rid of them doesn’t really mend the ethical dilemma. What do you suppose a massive conglomerate would do with century old bones which haven’t been properly cared for? It’s not likely they’d take the time and care to donate them, and even if they did, they likely weren’t in correct condition. Idk this is all just my guess - I’ve don’t literally no research - but I don’t see what difference it makes tbh.

I totally get that! I think it's just a really interesting Disney fact if anything :) From what I did find via research, majority of the real skeletons which were removed from the ride had a proper bruial. It's also my understanding (from my research) that the original human skeletons used were donated for science by the people who passed away. Although these donors didn't expect that they would be on a Disney ride but rather studied by med students. But I could see that there could have been a variety of reasons that UCLA didn't need these skeletons anymore and that's why they were willing to give them to Disney at the time, but I have no idea on any specifics.

@ I suppose people must have just complained. It is very interesting. I think what’s more interesting is why it’s important to people. The people who donated their body’s didn’t care to have them “properly” cared for (buried, cremated, etc.) so I’m not sure why patrons would care. It’s very interesting. Sorry if my original comment was phrased rude. I really tried to avoid it but it’s hard to make “why does it matter?” sound nice.

My aunt works at Disney land and she said “it’s true” when Walt was first working on the ride people donated bones for the ride the only one that is still there is the one on the head board the rest are gone

I have heard that from a couple cast members and I think that's so cool!! I wonder why the imagineers never replaced that one.

He could have extended his contract again if he really wanted to. But I think the guy is beyond ready to retire. I'm interested to see who they will pick as his successor this time around!
