I liked how the batters question a called strike and then let it go. They dont argue like the so called pros do just because they dont like the call

As the Plate Umpire in my league, we don’t count Catchers going to the Mound as a visit. When I am behind the plate, I Use MVR and the number of visits remaining. For Example, I would use MVR (4)

I would say hold your initial starting position as the play develops (instead of moving backwards). Just the one or two steps he took backwards, he then had to re-gain, which is the main factor contributing to everyone else's comments. Great call though!

You can complain about his technique but… he made the right call regardless

First off...he took the mask off with the incorrect hand He went toward the wedge positioning but was a bit slow to make his move and never quite got set to make the call Finally he could have stayed a bit closer to the plate. No reason to be that far back

Take your mask off with your left hand. If you can't break the habit swap the mask for an out but you can signal safe with the mask in either hand.😊😊 Good positioning but un-athletic movement to get there which made his camera have to swivel a little late to get the play which I think he nailed.

Only started this year, very solid. Great testament to the training that United gives to their umpires!

Question In NFHS if the batter jumps over the plate and heads towards the dugout, before he enters the dugout the defensive coach says blue we want to appeal that he missed home. Can the batter return to the plate to touch home ?

I was taught to copy a time out call whenever another umpire calls time. Is this an exception?
