Nevertheless, there is some inaccuracy in the original comments on the steam engines a true maniac has to point out: In fact, the Hungarian class 424 steam engines are not "much bigger", but significantly shorter than their Austrian BR/Rh52 counterparts of German origin shown some minutes earlier. And the Romanian class 150 steam engine used during this trip is not the "most modern", it is actually a copy of a German design from the 1930s, even though this one was built in the 1950s by Resita in Romania. Well. Never mind, this documentary is all about the spirit of the old Orient Express, perfectly captured by the late Albert Glatt's NIOE which, in turn, is magnificently portrayed in this video. En voiture !
Thank you so much for posting this. I watched this documentary again and again as a boy. It inspired me to emigrate to Europe as an adult.
