It is important to not rely on feelings when trying to rightly divide the word of God. Sometimes, when we rely on feelings, we hear what we want God to say instead of what He actually said. Emotions are wonderful and welcome in the church, but we must learn to read with unbiased eyes. After all, the heart is deceitful above all things and desperately wicked. We must take caution to not give heed to seducing spirits. At the end of the day, belief is sufficient, and leads to faith. When you believe Jesus Christ, you have faith that despite everything, He will stay faithful and never leave you. The longer the Holy Spirit abides, the more you learn to trust Him. The more you trust Him, the less the enemies arrows strike home. This is sanctification. But it begins with belief in the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
