New Tent | OEX Bobcat 1 | First Time Pitch | #camping #scotland
Testing out my pre owned, £45 OEX Bobcat 1. Not for everyone, but I really like it for it's function and price !! Adaptable, easy to pitch, reasonably light. Yes, smaller than normal sleeping area/inner but it's manageable. Camping doesn't have to be expensive. The door to shelter feature is great.

#camping Another post work trip. Was a struggle getting there, physically and mentally! Don’t think my heart was into at the beginning,but once set up I managed to enjoy the surroundings, get something to eat and sip a few beers. As an englishman i was blown away to discover at 30 yrs of age that the most beautiful country on earth is right next to mine! i love scotland! great video and great spot you found

You’ve done marketplace and TikTok shop, think your next one is Temu. They’ve got a few hot tents on there that I’m dying to see being tested in the wild.
@@Moffatmountainadventures the TikTok experience was my daughters fault. Set me up an account then she could use the shop. She wanted girl things and I had to make up the order for free delivery so bought the poles for 8 quid. I’ll need to check the hot tents 😂 I did get a hot tent off Amazon for £60.

@@GeoffGreenawayOutdoors haaaa, get one in yer shopping basket 😂 you know you must have one. Have a look at the measurements first though. Can do the tie out mod, it just keeps the outer off the inner. Plus you can make the inner permanently attached to inner by changing the clips…. I think.

@@haggishunteroutdoors cheers Sam. I was late getting out and was gonna chuck it down, so I didn’t mess about too much. I did a few winter vids with no talking, just zoning in on the surroundings and set up. I was gonna make all vids without talking, but it’s good give a commentary and to share your thoughts…..sometimes 😂 See your on that FB page with Willie, give us a message on there, I posted on there earlier.

@@haggishunteroutdoors I think the no talking ones can be better as you’re not telling folk what you’re doing if that makes sense, people don’t know what to expect. If there no talking it’s universal , ha. Deffo worth doing a mix of talking/ no talking. I was going to do one of those voice over things, but if I did it at the house it’s just be kids fighting in the background 😂
You have a good charity shop near by then 😅 I've an old tesco tent in the back yard I'm tempted to use for shits and giggles as they say 😂
@@BareBonesCamping there is plenty of charity shops here, the bigger ones and local cause ones. I’ve started checking ones in Ft William etc when I’m up, the outdoors capital. I remember years ago the Red Cross shop had a terra nova tent, but it was a big one, no use to me. Aye, get the bargain tent out. Worth it just to be different. Just subscribed to you channel. Will watch your bivi vid later.

Our favourite beach! Always thought the group of trees to the left as you come onto the sand would be a good hammock spot but I see the house is now occupied again so perhaps a bit close? Thanks for another fab video
@@toottheterrible thanks for watching, aye that crop looks good for a hammock. I stayed as far away as possible. The first pitch I went to was windier so moved a wee bit along. In a hollow there so out of site. Got there about 7pm back at car for 7am.
