Is this the best 384 monocular available in 2023? Testing the new AGM Sidewinder TM25-384.
Anyone aware if these are available in Europe?
I have the sane RH50 v2 but it only has the 4 standard hot types, it doesn't have the Crimson and Viridian, do you know if there is a software update?
AGM/America. Pulsar/Europe.
Comrade scope.
Too bad it’s not weapons mountable the rh25 is closing in on that price point nowadays.
Wait - you are able to use an external battery pack? What firmware is on your unit?
I'm not sure. But yes, I ran my external battery pack on this unit.
@@roweETX That's good news. I tried on my unit, and while the unit will take power from a USB-C data connection, it won't pull from just a battery. If they've fixed that I need to update. :)
Love mine. It's paired with a Photonis 4G PVS 14 in a dual bans setup. It kicks butt! Got it from Outdoor Legacy too!
If I buy a Richo rh50 v2 model and combine it with a Rico rangefinder, can I use ballistics???
When is this coming state side?
@@Howlin23 already is. Contact outdoor legacy 877-350-1818
@@roweETX gotcha. Haven’t seen it on their website.
@@Howlin23 you’ll need to call them.
What about use in conjunction with a scope? Some tell me no, some say yes and clip on rifle mounts exist for it.
The MH25 is not compatible with a daytime scope. It can not be used as a stand alone scope either. It only functions as a monocular. You would have to go to the RH25 if you wanted to utilize it as a scope or with a scope.
How far was he?
@@halodesolate about 80 yards
Was this the 19 or 25?
@@selborx This was with the 25.
What mount are you using to the RH25 to the Wilcox helmet mount? That’s the component I need
@@KERSmark_Solutions I have a pic tail adapter fastened to the rh25. I have a team Wendy helmet, g24 mount, Wilcox modular dovetail, Wilcox modular folding bridge arm. With the pic tail adapter on the rh25, it will clip in to the modular bridge arm.
Painful to watch. Patience and get glasses
Actually curious the hay is still being eaten especially when you’re not looking why not just fence it in ?
@@phoenixflame62118 it’s a lease pasture. We do not own it.
The rix stride is literally a clone of the jerry YM 2.0. Minus the clip on capability, collimation settings, and tons of other features. Same price.
As someone who has used both the XRF and hybrid 75. Which do you prefer?
That one is tough. I like them both. For where I hunt, the Hybrid 75 at a 4x base mag is a bit too much. 90% of my shots are under 100 yards. I prefer a 3x base mag for my area. Now, if I was strictly hunting coyotes in more open country, and 90% of my shots were 150-200+ yards, then I would take the Hybrid every time. It really comes down to your area and how you hunt. Both are fantastic options.
Do you prefer this over the AGM Ts50-640 v2?
Man, I would need more background information to give a precise answer. If I didnt need the magnification of 3x, most of my shots were closer range, then I would opt for the Rattler v2 because of the 2.5x base mag. I prefer to have the 3x base mag personally, so I would take the rh50 v2 over the Rattler for my use.
@@roweETX thankyou for your response
They should hace green in the pulsar thermion 2 xl. Looks good.
I agree!
Man what's your color setting numbers set to. I'm using 5557 right now and mine doesn't look this good.
I don't remember. I typically run them in the middle range of options. Just play with it some until you find the ones that look the best to you.
So did the better light help for further distances? I need something for longer shots.
Yes. The Sniper Hog Light 66 LRX will give you about 400-500 yards of useable sight distance.
@@roweETX So do you think it will work to get rid of these problems? Coyotes, hogs, and Cats are a big problem. I think because not too many people remove these nuisance varmints any more. 100-300 yards is probably my max for now. I am debating between spend the bigger money on thermal vs night vision. I had the wraith older version and had to take it back. I don’t even think it was HD. It messed with my eyes. You are a big help. Thank you. We have had quail house cats and even a calf vanish.
Dirt nap
I would use a red crosshair when using green hot.
I don't disagree. I go back and forth between color pallets, and the green crosshair is my favorite.
Wow, that is really expensive considering this is made in China.
None of them are cheap, lol
👎🖐
How does this compare to the sidewinder 640 as far as range detection? Does one have better image quality? Thanks!
I think they are almost the same as far as image quality goes. Both have a really nice image with great detail. The main difference would be the magnification is a little more in the Sidewinder 50-640
Colabarators
Do you feel it has the same image as the mk2?
Shawn, it is very close in comparison. I have ran both units side by side, and the RH50R just has a tad more detail in the image that you don’t quite get in the rh50 v2. I think the only way you would notice the difference would be to have both scopes sitting side by side and compare. Otherwise, you won’t notice any difference.
@@roweETX good to hear. Hopefully they start getting back in stock soon, I’m itching to upgrade lol.
I have this scope. It is great. It is not lightweight. 😊
I feel it is not heavy. Not the lightest, but I don’t consider it a heavy scope. Perfect for AR platforms.
You have the rifle cant angle in the lower right of the screen. How do you enable that in the Hybrid 50?
I can't remember. It's in the menu options. There should be a selection that allows you to turn it off/on.
ffs
Very I'm pressed with this scope I definitely will get me one . Soon as I decide to put me another HK G3 together
It's a good one!
That was one huge boar hog!
Man how do you keep your video that size when posting a short? Mine always zoom in and get blurry.
I edit with Adobe Premiere Pro. It has a preset for RUclips shorts so I just select the preset, edit the video, and it does the rest for me.
@@roweETX thanks man that's awesome.
Adrenaline it's a Hell of a Drug. Rick James.
No doubt!
This is awesome. Good stuff man.
Appreciate it!
Too close for comfort
A couple that hunts together stays together. Good stuff Ashley👍
I see your running a 7.62x39 sbr, i just got an xl50 i was wondering on what ballistics you use for the calculator with the shorter barrel, i run a 10in 7.62x39 tula 123 soft point
I don't run the ballistic calculator on the scopes. I have messed with it some, but it's not something I use. Most of my shots are under 100 yards so I never really had a need for it. You mainly need all your bullet information and muzzle velocity for the ballistic calculator.
Not sure what the point of the video is; shakes too much and you shoot one time?
How does it compare to the axion XG 35
Both are good units. Similar image quality. The FH35 is cheaper with the LRF. The Axion is smaller. Battery system is better in the Axion. Warranty is the same with both. Image quality is very close, but I would probably give the FH35 the edge.
How does it compare to the axion XG 35
They are both comparable in image quality. Give us a call and we can discuss in further detail.
Just ordered one of these exact units. Still feel good about it a couple months later? Also have you swapped it between different pews and check all the different profile zeroes? Im curious how it holds up zero after all the swaps.
I am still running and testing multiple Rattler V2's, and all have held up and performed flawlessly. Just had the 256 version out this weekend and got some great footage on a big boar. These scopes do hold zero between all the swapping. Take that with a grain of salt because I'm not a precision shooter, but they are good enough for hogs/coyotes out to 300 for me. Thanks.
Great video! Thank you for posting it with the ranges. The V2 looks epic.
Thanks! It is a really nice scope!
Is it possible to Switch to thermal mode in day?
You can use the scope in the daytime or at night. It will always be a thermal image though. It does not give you a clear color image like a daytime optic would.
How did you pull this video from the scope to upload it here? This is the most clear XRF footage I’ve seen on RUclips.
I plug the scope directly in to my computer via the usb-c cable that comes with the scope. Turn on scope, go to menu, select connect to computer, and then all your files are right there for copying and viewing. Thanks.
Best investment ever made, running the nox18 and a halo XRF. 🤟
Does Outdoor Legacy help customers with firmware updates on the old adders? I’m really not Tech savvy when it comes to computers.
We typically do not go into any detail over firmware updates because there are so many and so many versions that it's impossible to keep up with them all. I would suggest giving a call to AGM directly. They have always walked our customers through firmware updates over the phone.
@@roweETX ok Thanks Ashley
Have you had any issues with a faint black or white blob showing up in the middle of your display and having to manually nuke a lot?
Yes, that has been an issue with some units.
It’s good device for bird spotting?
Yes. We have several bird watchers that have purchased this unit because it is small and fits in your hand easily.
Well agm will void your warranty if the scope is used during daylight hours lol. I just found this out and was extremely surprised. I have had many thermal imagers that worked absolutely fine even if you viewed the sun. But my new agm scopes shut down when viewing a lit cigarette at 50 yards or viewing a vehicle exhaust at 5 yards.
I'm not saying you are incorrect, but I do know that we sight in every one of our thermals during the middle of the day. I was just out today using the new AGM rattler V2 and I had zero issues with it at all during the daylight. They have always worked for me, and I have never had an issue with AGM on warranty.
@@roweETXI use all of mine during the day. The problem was that I have had all 3 of my agm scopes go into burn protection mode when I scanned past a guy with a lit cigarette, also panned across a small campfire in the distance and from the exhaust pipes on a truck driving by. I have looked into this much deeper and found that the materials used in their microbolometer are not solar rated and can be damaged by viewing “hot” items. This may not be an issue for the hog hunters, but it certain is for the people who are gearing up for any real world tactical situation. My flir and iray scopes can look directly at the sun all day long without any problems. This is the first time that I had ever heard of them having the warranty voided if they know the scope was used during the daytime hours.
How does it compare to the Sidewinder 640?
They are both very close in image quality. The Finder comes with the LRF function, but the sidewinder does not. The button layout and ergonomics are better on the sidewinder. Battery win goes to the sidewinder. Both have a 5 year warranty. I think it comes down to whether or not you need the LRF.
