Whats the number of nails got to do with anything lol. Thats a lot of noise floor hiss in that recording. Been doing audio professionally for 15 years and i have yet to find a consitent way to always get rid of it lol. Usually its because the mic gain is too high. But you want the gain to be high enough that it has a good signal strength but without distorting like when you tapped on the wall.

I agree with you. Most of the time having your phone can distract the creative process. That wind not playing lol.

Yeah man, i just bought this and am well happy, i can plug the Blue Yeti pro with its stereo XLR cables. Am talking BBC radio 4 broadcast quality. So to get rid of the silent sound hiss i turned the level to virtually Zero and just turned up the mic from the mic itself and it worked, meaning i didn’t need to buy a mic booster, best audio devise . Oops dont say this to Tascam Dr 07mk II might get jealous lol. no really , that one has its own delights
