Found Confusion is Sex at Bop Shop a few years back but I have never seen an early copy of Kill Yr Idols in a shop. Probably due to being a Germany release. I dig anything Thurston Moore even his harsh tones.
Kill Yr Idols usually comes with Confusion is Sex, just like the CD we have. But sometimes they're apart, which is what we showed.

Yes! Bring it. BTW I watched all the Neil videos in reverse order over the last few days. It was nice to go backwards as the reviews (and albums?) just let getting better and better. So happy to see such reverence for Everybody Knows. It’s easily my favorite Young album and the fact that we seem to get gravitating towards other titles as a culture is troubling and disturbing 😅. Keep up the solid work. Ya’ll are wrong about Chrome Dreams II though…Ordinary People hits hard for me.

So, I reluctantly traded in American Stars N Bars a couple of years ago. Traded in Hawks and Doves a long time ago. So, now I can just trade in Hitchhiker and Homegrown and get this. An archival release that actually benefits me! Consolidation! And “Like a Hurricane” is my favorite Neil song. So sue me. This was fun. Good to see you guys back on camera together. ✌🏻
Silas does the editing and I'm gonna let him respond to comments (within reason) but I'll say fine on those trade-ins but keep Homegrown and Hitchhiker. Those are top shelf. Though you make a great point. You could argue this is the summation of those records except in reverse. 🤔 🤯

This is amazing! Absolutely one of my favorite albums of all time. I’m all the way out in Ohio but I’ll definitely be tuning in to both of your radio shows. You all are amazing! I’m really looking forward to digging into the rest of the videos. Keep it going!

This was a fun tour! We were lucky enough to get 2 Greendale shows in Toronto . Cheesy stage props and all, I loved seeing some of the dissapointed looks in the audience, waiting to hear Heart of Gold or Cinnamon Girl., which are simply a beer break for me. That's the thing with Neil we love him for different reasons.
Absolutely. One at Molson Amphitheatre and one at Air Canada Centre, both were great.

@@quarantinehearts I actually need to make a list of the Enoch Light (and related) records that I'm missing. I actually pulled out and listened to the first Focus album today, but I don't suppose you're doing Focus, either. And there's a Focus album that I'm missing: "Focus II", US title "Moving Waves" (1971, Sire), if you come across one. I love weirdly good records that can be found for 50¢.

My V's were actually blocked for a year by the boxes of my dad's record collection, but I moved them today, so can listen to this now. It was actually one of Michelle's contributions to our record library. I listened to one side of it more than 10 years ago. This would be the part where is tell you about listening to it now, except that I haven't. Maybe I will tomorrow. (I'm probably going to have to discard a lot of dad's LP collection, between his slobbish care of it, and the year it spent in a moldy basement after he died. Poo.)
That's sad. Never a good time having to throw away records. It's by no means an essential record but it's certainly better than people give it credit for. But also kind of a cheap grab at cashing in off the VU name. Doug Yule has talent though, I don't blame the guy. Great vocalist.

The live version of Ordinary People on live at the Bluenote works a lot better than this one..
Absolutely agree, that was the one thing I liked off that live release.
I've tried but could not get into Storytone or Letter Home...I think with the death of Briggs Neil has proven the Old convention that self-produced is not a great idea.....you always need a second opinion when putting a performance down....

Yes, I have seen those as upcoming releases. Neil is really churning out releases. Not touring must have pushed him even more. The deluxe edition of "Rust Bucket" is on its way!
Fantastic release! Love it, Born in Ontario is fun.....Ramada Inn is classic Neil when this was released I was in need of some new Neil in my life so.....cant wait for some live stuff from the era to be released! I think PONO use flac files?
