I mean, you have a world defense force where only teenagers are able to pilot the massive and incomprehensibly expensive mecha that protects the planet. And who's the enemy? God.. That and never flinching at how abstractly insane that is Anime Surrealism. Girls and Panzer is an insane concept right on the box. Beyond the weirdness of the anime trappings you know it's a bad idea all the way through. And yet the girls take the ridiculous concept absolutely seriously, if not too seriously, until you're emotionally invested in the story despite it being nonsensical. The show isn't noteworthy because of it's unparalleled storytelling, it's an anime and anime is pretty universally written slightly better than kid's programming. It's noteworthy because if commits to the bit like few other anime can.

during the part in girls und panzer der film, when mika is playing her contel, that is actually a referance to real world ww2(I think) the finland tank was going through a russhian landmine field, controlled via radio signals, the fins found the frequency and played polka through the channel that it disrupted the mines, an by the time the russians changed the radio tunes to the mines, the fins were always one stepped ahead of them playing the polka music as loud as they can on the frequency!

I'm playing this game on emulator. And I'm genuinely enjoying it. But every time I look for a tip or answer video. Everyone is saying how bad it is. It's crazy. My only complaint of the game the sensitivity of the cursor in the Game. It's either barely moves or goes fast af across the map. With no in-between. Makes it difficult to select units as their walking the map. But other than that I enjoy the game and seeing all the models and animations
