Decided to record this a day early because the spiral was looking translucent and may not be collectable on day 6. Berghia are comparable to day 9 Berghia at room temperature.

Spiral is mostly empty except for late developers. There is one egg that did not make it feeding even smaller micro-organisms. (or bacteria possibly?)

This particular specimen I found in a beaker that I started before writing dates down, so I am unsure of its age. My guess would be between 14-21 days. It is moving fairly fast for a Berghia and I am having a hard time keeping it in frame lol.

Looking like they could emerge any day. Some egg sacks are broken open. Right in that 10-14 day window as expected. Maybe a 10 day hatch at 80 degrees? Spirals are in my basement at 73 degrees.

I pulled a baby Aiptasia out of the beaker where some spirals had dissolved, and had my first documented Berghia make and appearance. Spirals where added to the beaker June 14 and it is now June 29.

less than 24 hours old. They are double stacked indicating spiral was made by an older adult. A newly matured Berghia will typically produce a flat spiral.

Awesome, how visible without magnification?
Almost impossible to see. I had the egg spiral in a beaker with nothing else other than a baby Aiptasia. I used a pipette to pick up a speck that “ might be one” and got lucky.
Big developmental difference between 80°F and room temp 73°F
More motion and more of the body has formed....be back day 9
Although their eyes are rudimentary and can only see light levels, they are the most prominent feature at this point.
Will post again day 6
