Thank you so much for your kind comments. The songs are featured in our podcast entitled "Good News Today -Daily Devotional Time" every day. In addition, we also have the songs available on our apps that are available for TVs, phones, and tablets.
What a great program. I particularly loved the worship music at the beginning. It's still ringing in my head and I want to recommend this song to the leadership in our congregation. I want to study the Bible more. I've subscribed, and looking forward to more content for you. God bless you all in the name of our most loving and merciful Lord Jesus Christ.
When Jesus says that "Our" righteousness must EXCEED that of the Pharisee's, He is saying that the Pharisee's are NOT going into the Kingdom either, because if they WERE going into the Kingdom, then there is absolutely NO REASON for "Our" righteousness" to EXCEED theirs !! "IF" Jesus IS saying that the Pharisee's ARE going into the Kingdom, THEN WHY couldn't "Our" righteousness be EQUAL to theirs ?, WHY would "We" need to EXCEED theirs ? That would mean that God is holding "non-religious" people to a HIGHER STANDARD !! Jesus is ACTUALLY saying that neither the Pharisee's NOR "We" are going into the Kingdom, "IF" we are "trusting" in "our own" righteousness by the "works of the Law" !! Jesus made it clear in Matthew 19:25 & 26 that "Salvation" is "IMPOSSIBLE WITH MEN". Jesus in Matthew 5:20 is revealing that NO ONE is going into the Kingdom as the result of their "own" righteousness, (meaning obeying the 10 commandments in their "own" ability), BUT ONLY BY THE RIGHTEOUSNESS OF GOD, which is ONLY by the WORK OF CHRIST JESUS.
I see what you're saying and believe that I agree with your statements. It doesn't eliminate the need for our obedience (Matthew 7:21), but that obedience doesn't earn our salvation.
@@GoodNewsTodayTVRight, it doesn't "eliminate" the need for our "obedience". The question is, HOW is that "obedience" being FULFILLED ? In our "own" ability to obey, OR, By the Spirit of God ? Clearly it is by the Spirit of God which is what the New Covenant is all about. (Ezek. 36:27) (Rom. 8:3,4) (Gal. 5:5). And Matthew 7:21 = John 6:40 (which is what the will of the Father is).
❤
Correct. Tithing isn't a Christian doctrine nor was anyone ever biblically commanded to tithe from earned wages. Not Jews nor Gentiles. Not New Testament, or Old.
This is awesome!! Praise god!Thank you
Except, the Calvinists have a point because Paul sure is seeming to use this quote with the harder meaning of "hate" in mind. And Paul is using it that way on purpose. Because he's being sarcastic. What we miss is that this line was a slogan in Paul's day, used by Jews to defend their doctrine of election that said they were the chosen people of God and the Gentiles were cast out from him completely. Paul is reversing the roles though. He's saying IF it were true that God loved Jacob and hated Esau, then as it turned out, you JEWS would be the Esau!!! Paul is being sarcastic for the effect of showing that their doctrine of election was never true. God loves all people.
Love your positivity!!
My son favorite verse
I enjoyed the lesson and I'm from THE CHURCH OF CHRIST IN ENTERPRISE, MS....,
Thanks so much for your kind words. Glad that you're watching!

Thank you so much.
I was thinking the samething
Be faithful unto death and I will you the crown of life. Revelation 2:10
Great lesson, Thanks
Thank you for your kind words.
Great lessons this morning. Thanks
Thank you for your kind words.
Great job Good news staff , You guys do a wonderful job.
Thank you so much for your kind words.
The point I would drive home (and they made in passing) is that the same original language Greek word is used both times in Matthew 25:46 (aiōnios). The English translators in some versions with no clear reason to me chose to use different English words instead of using the same one. "Everlasting" or "eternal" are suitable and have no discernable difference in meaning here. Notice that several translations do use the same English word for each. Always check several versions, an interlinear, and perhaps a good concordance like Strong's to research Bible word usage... 🙏
Good to hear you Jim we miss you at dunlap church of christ but hope everything is going well we love you and your family.
❤😂😅😊
Another great lesson on Grace. Thanks GBN.

My favorite program on Sunday morning. Great Biblical topics. Thanks
Good program today , faith without works is dead.
I love to watch this each Sunday. We are blessed to have these wonderful teachers of the Gospel.
Jesus said to strive to enter thru the narrow gate which leads to every lasting life. Jesus said few will actually find it.
The answer to the big question today is a woodchuck would chuck as much wood as a woodchuck could chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood. Seriously though, excellent lessons today as always brethren!
I enjoy this program every Sunday morning.
Apparently Roger hasn't connected 2 Pet 3 with Paul's 1 Thess 5. 1 Thess 5:1-3 “Now, brothers and sisters, about times and dates we do not need to write to you, 2 for you know very well that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night. 3 While people are saying, “Peace and safety,” destruction will come on them suddenly, as labor pains on a pregnant woman, and they will not escape.” Notice that the Day of The Lord would be a day of DESTRUCTION those living when it came. 1 Thess 5:4-6 “But you, brothers and sisters, are not in darkness so that this day should surprise you like a thief. 5 You are all children of the light and children of the day. We do not belong to the night or to the darkness. 6 So then, let us not be like others, who are asleep, but let us be awake and sober.” How was it even possible to effect Paul's recipients, unless it was to occur WHILE THEY WERE ALIVE? And the Apostle Paul had already informed them that the Lord's return was within their lifetime just a few passages earlier: 1 Thess 4:15-18 “For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that WE' who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are asleep. 16 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 Then WE' who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. 18 Therefore comfort one another with these words.” And that emphatically-expressed, first-person, Greek personal pronoun confirms it! Those to “WEs” are emphatic. They refer specifically to those living breathing Thessalonians Paul had written his letter to. It had no reference to peoples hundreds and thousands of years in the future. This is one of those deficiencies in our English translations. They do not recognize the Greek emphatic pronoun “eg-o.” Like Jesus, Paul also confirmed that the coming of the Lord was indeed in their own lifetime!! The Apostel Peter knew this, and in no way in his 2nd letter countered what Paul said. And fact, Peter told his readers to 2 Pet 3:12 looking for and hastening the coming of the day of God,” Why should THEY look for, and actively hasten the coming of the day of God.................unless it was to come in their lifetime?
Very good
Thanks again
Thanks for your time
Thanks for your time
“Putting on spiritual glasses…”
That segment about prayer 😃
I think Christians should be required to study eschatology and 1st century history!

Excellent and very helpful information. I take time out in the mng to listen to Good News for the day🙏🏿
You are so welcome
I watched "Good News Today" almost every morning for 2 years when it was on DishTV. I'd come home from work every morning and it came on at 9:00 a.m. After working all night this program helped me relax and 'spend time with the Lord'. I truly miss it since it's not on DishTV any more. I'm so glad I can watch this show on RUclips! Thanks for putting these on the internet for us, Randy
I used to watch "Good News Today" at least 4 mornings a week on DishTv, ch#9410. I watched virtually every episode at 9:00 a.m. in 2007 thru 2009. I miss it... Peace, Randy
Great lesson!!!
