Dolce & Gabbana Devotion EDP | Quick Thoughts
Forgive me for I know not what I do!! Ha! I meant to try and record a short, but didn't know it had to be less than 60 seconds...and this wasn't. So, I ended up with a cut off portrait mode video. Ugh. Yes, that means I used my iPhone to record. I miss making videos so much and honestly don't remember all the details on how to.

Have you smelled signature by montblanc? Would you say they smell similar? Signature by Montblanc was overwhelming for me and smelled like baby powder, so I’m hoping it doesn’t smell like that lol
Hi Amanda, yes, I have smelled Signature by Mont Blanc. I don’t think they smell similar at all. To me, Devotion is warm and heavier than Signature, which I find to be more light and fresh. I personally don’t find Signature to be like baby powder, but one thing about fragrance is we all smell differently and pick up on different notes. 😉 I think it would be a good idea to try it at the fragrance counter or get a sample.
I know what you mean by that sunscreen/lotion vibe. I get that in a few scents myself. But it's so nice to see another vid from you Taryn! 😁🧡 I know it's been a while, but every bit of info helps. I've also seen this one compared with Xerjoff's Lira? Any thoughts? 🤔

Maybe it has some type of resin like Benzoin. Idk, I haven’t smelt it yet. Also heard it smells like it has cinnamon.
Grape juice usually come from Orange Blossom. Which I wouldn’t be surprised as Orange Blossom is in most of JPG fragrances. I know the JPG site lists Peach as a note. There are definitely more than 3 notes. I just ordered this and the intense version today.

I agree with your review Taryn!!! All these fragrances are unisex. Herod is a very mass appealing and smooth vanilla, pipe tobacco, and cinnamon fragrance. Tobacco Vanille is definitely stronger and spicier. Rich, Warm, and Addictive is very sticky and sweet...it does have coconut in it and would be the most feminine leaning of the three, but it is nice for $20

I love Tobacco scents, I have only tried TF Tobacco Vanille from the ones you've suggested, it's too sweet for me but my son likes it! lol!
Hi Annie! I think if Tobacco Vanille was too sweet for you, you probably wouldn’t like the other two because they are sweeter. You could always try though! 😀💕

Finally I got the time!!! Great video!!! I agree on all points. But on me the RWA last at least 5h. And yes i also only use it at home. But I don't get so much coconut from it. More Rum and toffee. I also think that the only tobacco I get from it is that it is in the tobacco collection. My favourite of them is Herod.

@@TarynEssence I think as you say tobacco is a warm cozy scent. And I believe that that is what zara is aiming for and for that reason put it in that line. I just Whish that I could get great longevity from all fragrances. 2 let downes on me are oud wood and Aventus
@@smellysweed6213 ZARA did a great job in making this one cozy! I also wish some of these lasted longer. It’s so disappointing when a fragrance is nice but doesn’t last.
good video. I mostly agree with u that RWA is the most female of the 3. it's only rum and coconuts to me (no tabac) and I only wear it to bed too. I am not interested in smelling like a lush. It's a good scent but the previous version was better.

Can't say that I've always loved RWA because I actually preferred the 2018 reformulation, but I've certainly loved the other two. Unfortunately, on my skin, the spices in Herod are only present for the first 45 minutes or so and then it becomes a very smooth vanilla-cherry candy scent. Certainly not a dusty, heady or overly spicy tobacco. In fact, I would absolutely consider Zara's Warm Black to be a more direct competitor with TV, but with a much cheaper ginger-heavy spice for the first half of the fragrance - almost potpourri like. Still, it's easily one of their best darker releases in the last half decade amidst Ambre Noble and Tone Indeterminee. Shame about the Zara turnover rate.
I never tried the older version of RWA, but wish they didn't change formulations when they are good and selling well. So sorry Herod doesn't last on you, it's so beautiful. No, it's definitely not overly spicy, it's nice, warm and smooth. That's interesting that it turns vanilla cherry on you. I have only tried two ZARA fragrances and neither of them last long on me. Thanks for sharing!😀.
