ADA Spindle support Beyer
I will show you the process for making the Spindle support in your mission style furniture. This is a process that can be applied to other furniture you just need the correct starting dimension. Always test on a scrap piece first. Safety first ask for help if you need it. This is for the Beyer end table design.

    My issue is a little different but this still helps. I have only 2 walls to work off of and where the other 2 walls or sides of the square/rectangle would be is a drop ceiling 16 inches below where I need to be. Hard to explain but again, this helped ignite the creative juices if you’d will.

    damn needed to do this but the surface isn't perfectly cylindrical (even though it has consistent curvature) so the wrap tool doesn't work

    • @Alfredworks
      @Alfredworks 7 месяцев назад

      You could try to extrude in the direction of the cylinder with a draft or just extrude down to the surface and then extrude a removing cylinder. If any of that makes sense. Good luck

      @@Alfredworks I ended up just extruding down from a plane up to surface with an offset for my cut depth. Obviously it doesn't really "wrap" preserving the dimensions of the sketch but it worked well enough for what I was doing. Thanks for the vid+draft idea that's good

    Thanks for this! Did you end up gluing the vertical tiles into the assembly you made?

    • @Alfredworks
      @Alfredworks 2 года назад

      You could glue them in or perhaps use a drywall screw through the main T if your vertical tiles are a little long. Glad it was helpful.

  • @jaydenthurlow501
    @jaydenthurlow501 3 года назад

    do you have to use main T as the drop piece or can you use just 2ft or 4ft scraps?

    • @Alfredworks
      @Alfredworks 3 года назад

      Not sure what the local codes are for your area. But I used the main T because it is a little heavy and gives more support.

    • @Alfredworks
      @Alfredworks 2 года назад

      The main T is a little thicker so it will support the weight better. Not sure about using the smaller T's
