i like to think that 0:50 its not a soft version of "The Lone Sol" but the opposite that "The Lone Sol" is a Stronger version of "Farewell" i like to think that this melody its lika a "shuan shuan's lullaby" and that in "The Lone Sol" comes back symbolizing that Yi has indeed learnt from shuanshuan,and this with the [SPOILER CUTSCENE] gives him the strenght to [SPOILER]

30 tries for the 1st phase, 23 others to get the second phase. I was scared a lot when I see the 3rd phase, but this ost gives the strength to 1st try it. Thanks nine sols for granted me one of the most iconic boss fights I experienced so far .

I kept looking up Eigong's theme to hear this part, i didn't realize it was Yi's. So appropriate, especially as I was beating my head against Phase 3. Hearing more and more of this track as I kept lasting longer helped keep me motivated.

Out of all the Sols, Ji was certainly the coolest and most humble.

No clue what Lear was on about, I didn't need the unbounded counter ONCE to beat this guy. Then again I was playing at a really shitty frame rate, so that might have given me the edge.

Fun fact: Lady Ethereal section was completed early in the development since there is little change needs to be done compares to other Sols fights. Really show Red Candle expertise in making horror games before this.

Eigong's third phase was somehow the easiest for me. I took a fighting style for this fight that focused mainly on parrying and using a fully charged Full Control Talisman explosion whenever I could to get huge bursts of damage in. Getting through phases 1 and 2 was difficult as hell because I was focused on mastering her attack patterns so when the third phase comes around and adds a new attack in mid-air, it didn't actually take me that long to get through it, I only had to watch out for that one attack because the others I was able to rely on muscle memory for the most part. She was still a hard as hell boss though. I only barely beat her third phase with just a little bit of health left.

The opening phrase of this track is very reminiscent of the Japanese gagaku piece Etenraku (越天楽)-which is only natural, since gagaku is the Japanese version of ancient Chinese court music.

Holy shit, so 3rd phase actually Yi's theme? & that true ending cutscene ties incredibly well into the mythology of Hou Yi (that character who Yi is based on). If you look at Hou Yi's wiki page, it shows Hou Yi shooting arrow in pose exactly Yi shoots the Rhizomatic arrow in the game. Whoever did the lore, storyboarding, writing for this game is a goddamn genius. My mind is blown.

I love how Yi's theme, like other heroic leitmotifs, is very triumphic, but its really cool hearing a triumphic motif in a chinese style.
