Awesome job fellow shredder!!! Nailed that tone!!! One of my favorite Boston songs! More videos please! Your are very talented!!!
@@endres98 awesome thank you
Sick !!! Would you ever consider doing a tutorial on this one ?? 😄
Awesome babeeeeeee!
You should listen to the whole album from start to finish, Third Stage is a masterpiece
@@Katahdinbound24 I'll check it out
Man that was incredible. Definitely one of the best covers I’ve listened to. Well done!
@@GENOBURRITO1 thank you 👍
Nice Gibson guitar, dude
Ummmmm…that is a Kramer guitar not a Gibson.
@neilmohammed6332 Gibson owns Kramer
You have definitely spent some time in the woodshed with your axe. You nailed it
@OCT566 Thank you and yes 27 years and still going.
It looks and sounds like you did a nice job on that, that was a great song and a great album..
@@lorenbush8876 thank you 👍
I listened to this song on my way to my grandmothers funeral. This hits hard! Amazing job bud.
@@240hurts thank you 👍 And sorry for your loss 🙏
What effect were used thk
@@Thelma-q3v I used the Boss gt 6 processor, customized a existing patch on the gt6 by adding multiple layers of eq and a little wah. Also set up 2 extra patches with the Boss gt6 harmonizer for the different key change during the solo.
Hi, I got this question about your guitar. What did you do to your guitar that? I see that only has, just the volume And it has no tones for the other pickups. now. How do you get to rig up your guitar? If you can answer that question, please. Or make a video please of how you rigging up your guitar and how did you do it? By the way, nice shredding.
@@RubenValdez-u2p it's nothing special actually. It's just that I kept hitting the volume knob. So what I did was I moved the volume to the second hole position and hid the tone knobs turned up under the pick guard. The only problem with that was the wiring was too short for one of the wires on the 5 position switch, so I flipped it around which is why it looks like I'm playing with the neck pickup when it's actually on the bridge pickup. And I just covered the 1rst and 3rd hole with white tape.
Nice
@@mohammad-king5529 thanks
Fantastic job. closed my eyes on the Solo and thought Tom Scholz was playing it himself
@@timpage9195 Thank you. Happy for that comment 👍
@@MichaelStraychild308your welcome, sorry mispelled scholz name..

Wow. Great job

Extremely well my friend, you are my 2 place behind Truthsurge on this song
@@ThresholdZhor Nice thank you. 👍
Yeah I miss truthsurge as well. This fella kicked some ass!!
Gotta check it out 👍
@@ThresholdZhor I checked his version too and its great and agree with you too. I can see little subtle parts that he played that I never noticed 👍
Wunderschön !!
@@FastBernie thank you 👍
Excellent! Later I'm going to fire up my Tom Scholz Rockman X-100 guitar amp and start learning how to play this, thanks for inspiring me : )
@@HeRacesTheSun Glad It helped and thank you. Good song, good tune!
Awesome playing. Best solo ever

Well done!

The guitar is sick
Thank you 👍
wonderful The guitar sound is also great🎉
Thank you 👍
Phenomenal playing. Im actually amazed you can get that tone with the neck pickup.
Thanks I appreciate it 👍 I'm actually using the bridge pickup. The 5 way is upside down. I kept hitting the volume button while strumming, so I moved it over and hid the tone knobs inside the cavity at full tone. When I did that I had to flip the switch to not stress the wires.
@@MichaelStraychild308 Ohh i see!
Nicely Done !
Thank you 👍
tom scholz is difficult ... great job!!
Thank you 👍
WOW
Not even close I mean just go back and watch the original live version
You need to get your ears checked, Bubba..
Awesome! Did you use an amp sim?
No all I'm using is the boss gt6 and a lot of tweaking with eqs and chorus on the gt6
@@MichaelStraychild308 nice. Good tone for Boston. Sounds like you tweaked it just right. 👍🏼
@@RiffMusic1970 thanks 👍
Awesome cover! Scholtz played a huge part with Boston, however, Brad Phelps was way before his time..
Could not agree with you more. 👍 Genius songwriting.
WOW! I'm a 60 something grandma who graduated from high school in 1977!!! Boston was and still is my favorite band!!! You NAILED IT!!!!❤
Thank you 😊
@@MichaelStraychild308 Yw!!!!!
Nice, I enjoy watching videos like this that show talent and dedication of the individual. Most people do not realize the effort it takes. I hope you list your ability to play the piano on any resume you present for employment, any serious employer would appreciate the commitment it takes.
Perfect..just one word for your effort.... perfect.
Awesome thanks.
Thank you
Actually in time with the original...not an easy thing to do
Thanks
I've listened to alot of covers and accompiments...most are crap ...this is very nice ...good job
How do you removed the tune control? Is It Easy tò do?
I didn't remove the tone controls, all I did was put them inside the pickguard cavity and moved the volume one over since I kept hitting and lowering the volume while I was strumming.
@@MichaelStraychild308 oh ok . Thanks a lot! 👍
@@adelmocantagallo1151 No problem 👍
Very nicely played, Michael.
Thank you
Excellent job. A favorite guitar lick!
Thank you and yes its probably by far one of my top 2 boston favs.
Excellent job
@@Azlatoth thank you 👍
Are you still using the SX200s?
Yes everyday . I love those amps, I got 2 of them.
Amazing job!
Thanks.
Good job dude!!! First concert i ever saw 1978 first album by them and also best selling till Thriller came along look it up great band and i miss brad delp!! good job bro!!! Tom sholtz would be proud
Thanks man appreciate it and yeah Brads vocals and Toms Genius work are the only way Boston could ever work. If it was anyone else with another guitar tone or other vocalist , we wouldnt be talking about boston.
Awesome job! Love this song!
Thanks
Longtime fan of the song but I’ve never heard the piano part broken down or the song ended without a fade. Really good cover! Found myself singing right along even though I was lost in the chorus without the snare knocks. I don’t know why I randomly searched for piano covers other than I just wanted to hear the crescendo on the end, but I’m glad I found the whole cover!
Thanks.
Same here. This has been a favorite since I started playing music when I was little and that piano caught my attention when I first heard the song.
Incredible very impressive
