Not at all, stock intake actually works great. Lot of people think you have to buy some expensive intake and tb but honestly save your money and use it on something meaningful. Or if u desire to change it anyways just get oem trailblazer ss intake

I return it through timing cover by welding in a 10an bung

I didn't use the oil pan I used timing cover

@@bo_flint93 for a passenger o2 sensor where did you place it ? the hot side had a bung for the driver side and not the passenger

I put a bung about 3 inches below t4 flange for the turbo. You're gonna need to weld a bung for your wide band in the exhaust pipe coming out of the turbo as well so you might as well get two O2 sensor and do both while you're at it.

Are u running stock ecm? If so you will need the o2 sensors unless you're running terminator x? I should have asked that first but I am assuming you're on stock computer and planning to tune with HPtuner

I sold it about a year and a half ago but still keep in touch with the guy that drives it. It has been driven and beat on daily and still running lol

No I actually bought them for $175 and painted them with some black basecoat that I had from a previous paint job and then I cleared them with high solids clearcoat and they turned out pretty sweet.

Nothing to fear. What are you thinking about doing for that? Terminator x is amazing and super straight forward, or you can go cheaper and get truck harness and computer from a 99-06 Silverado

@@bo_flint93 I have 3 LS 5.3s with harnesses and comps with trannys all out of 4x4 silverados. I don't of course need the transfer cases, don't know if I can just dump case es and replace with regular 2wd tail shaft? But just don't know what route I should take with the computer setup? One ls will be for my s10, which needs a frame off restore after the flood of 2019. One will go into a ratty 70 c10 I have. The other in a z350. Thinking I will do the c10 first.

@@bo_flint93 so the terminator x is pretty easy to tune and to get fired up and running right off the bat? About how much does it cost? Does jegs or summit carry it?

@stevekrewson9502 good choice. And yes you can remove t case and replace output shaft and tail shaft cover and you are in there like swim wear lol

They both carry it and I think it is between $1200-$1600 but totally worth it if you have the $$$ to spend

It’s for intake air temp and it is needed depending on your build, tell me your build and what ecm you’re running and is it speed density, does it have a mass air flow? Depends on what you are building

i am still ordering parts for it but i have a 5.3 with btr cam on a stock ecm which was redone and single turbo 75mm and it is mass air flow @@bo_flint93

Ok so since you are still running mass airflow sensor the IAT sensor is built into that, but since you are planning on going turbo I would get rid of the mass airflow sensor but you will need to use 2 of the 5 wires coming off the end of you MAF plug and wire that to your IAT sensor, they’re $20 on Amazon and you put it into your charge pipe where mine is located. If u don’t have access to a welds I can buy piece of IC or intake pipe that already has the bung in it. Speed Density . It all just depends on what you wanna do with the truck and what you’re future plans are

I’m placing the wastage the exact same way you did with the t4 to t4 45 angle flange. Did you have any boost creep or issues with the wastegate location?

Go to turbo4less.com and look at their injectors. Best prices around for genuine DEKA Injectors. Dont buy them from eBay most of them are fake Chinese injectors

If u are using a truck intake and rail you will need 4 spacers and longer bolts for your fuel rail. And you will need adapters for the connectors. Either Multec II to EV1 or Multec II to EV6 depending on what harness u have and what style deka u get either ev1 or ev6
