A normal drone doesn't give these flying sensations, and I'm also a little scared of DIY FPV. In any case, Avata 2 is a great gateway to FPV for beginners, and to get them hooked. On my third day flying the Avata 2 and now I’m looking for new places out in the sticks to fly and explore. So easy and fun to fly. Flies 4 times longer than a typical DIY drone, the camera is legit, the new headset and controller are awesome and dummy proof. Love it.

We conceived such technology. It just wasn't attainable at the time.

The avata 1 would have survived that impact or would cost 20 dollars to fix. My biggest issue with the avata 2 is it's fragile and not repairable or upgradable

Cost, closed ecosystem, proprietary batteries, no repairability, no upgradability, no choice of transmitters (other than dji controller or wank remote) no choice of protocols, list goes on. If you’re NOT actually interested in ‘drones’ and just want to fly and capture footage it’s a great choice for beginners or professionals that don’t want the hassle of learning, but is extremely limiting. If you are really interested in multi-rotors, I would always suggest learning to build your own as it teaches you useful skills like soldering, electronics and coding. There’s also so many great resources available these days that have minimised the entry barriers.

Life is about relationships! Seems obvious that you found something to touch them all ! Seeing an 80 year old fascinated by what you shared is like someone doing a tandem parachute jump! (Without the danger!) Been flying quads for a while now, and just got my Avata 2 as well, but instead going to do the goggles with my Mini 4 Pro first to learn the controls, and bring in the Avata afterwards. Congrats!🇺🇸
