i literally did not get this movie even for a second but Robert Sheehan is beautiful so i'll give it a 10/10 but could someone explain it to me bc i'm seriously lost
So he's born as a teenager right but with a mind of a child. You can see how even though he's physically older, his brother protects him and looks after him. I feel like he was jealous of his brother, that's why he pushed him into that sea, the brother gets brain damage and becomes disabled himself. Conor sees his brother and feels guilt, and tries to be protective of him, but cant be because of how much remorse he feels. The brothers disability effects the family as well, you can see this when Conor unties his brother, alo though she is crying, the mother is just standing there. She feels the frustration and the depression as well. Because he metaphorically died from drowning, he gets reborn from drowning as well, he gets put back in his body. Its sad because the brother gets put back but Conor will always be a social outcast and a foreigner in his own body >:(((( all of thid id my view tho, i could be totally off lmaooooo
The intro says he thinks of his life as he is now as an adult. So we’re seeing him grow up while appearing to the audience as an adult the whole time. He seems helpless though, probably because of some sort of development issue or disability. His actions aren’t easily understood by himself or the audience and I think having him appear as an adult plays into that.
this is indeed one of the few thoughtful films ive ever seen
I don't think it is hard to understand as long as you read the subtitles.
Man the start is so weird and almost traumatising....
Hey man dm me I have to ask you something
What is dm?
Can y'all believe this beautiful boy didn't even go drama school
