Today we're looking at an extensively battle damaged Soviet era SSH-60 helmet, used by Russian prison/convict brigades during the fighting around Bakhmut, Ukraine. The Wagner group employed about 2/3 of their fighting force as convicts from Russian prisons, and these "soldiers" were poorly trained and equipped, suffering horrendous losses during the meatgrinder that was the Battle of Bakhmut.

Today we're looking at a French M51 steel helmet which saw duty as a UN Peacekeeper's helmet. Painted in typical UN blue, with UN decals applied, this helmet has seen a long service life, and some of these steel helmets might still be in use today.

Today we're taking a quick look at the FN 5.7 Five-seveN MK3 MRD pistol. While similar to earlier generations, there's a few differences, most notably in the grip and the fact that now the pistols are optics ready from the factory. We'll take a look at the plates and screws included, as well as a brief overview of the included manual for installation.

Today we're looking at an old break top revolver, found in Virginia City, Nevada. The gun still has 5 spent shells in the chambers, and it's just one of those pieces of old west history that you really with could talk and tell you its story.

Today we're looking at an example of a German WWI Luger pistol, excavated from the Meuse Argonne sector battlefields. This is a typical WWI example, with what appears to be a 1916 date, Imperial German acceptance marks, and all visibly matched numbers. The gun itself has been through some type of really terrific trauma, and is a very vivid reminder of the shock of WWI.

Today we're looking at an example of the Israeli designed and manufactured OR-201 helmet. These went through a number of models and designs changes, but all had the same basic shape, with most differences being in the liner and padding. They have been widely distributed around the world, and are still in service with a number of militaries across the Middle East, Africa, the Americas and Europe.

Today we're looking at the French F1 helmet, also known as the Modele 1978 after its year of introduction. These sturdy steel helmets replaced the French M51 design, which was closely modeled on the American M1. The F1 saw service with the French military until gradually replaced in the 1990s by Kevlar designs, but still soldiers on today in many areas of Africa, the Middle East, and the Americas.

Today we're looking at the German Große Gewehrpanzergranate, aka Model 40 anti-tank HEAT (High Explosive Anti-Tank) rifle grenade, as used by German forces in WW2. These powerful grenades could make their impact felt on most armor of the day, but had a somewhat limited range. Nonetheless, they were extensively used by German forces, particularly in the mid to late war period.

Today we're looking at the Russian Makarov most commonly found in the US - the IJ70 Baikal, a Russian pistol produced for export, with an eye towards sale in the US. These are very similar to original Soviet Makarovs, but with some key differences, and definitely not the same thing in terms of collecting.

Today we're looking at an example of a Polish Cold War era Wz67/75 helmet, as used by both the Polish military and the Milicja Obywatelska, or internal security police, tasked with ensuring state security was upheld (beating up striking workers, infiltrating Solidarity movement meetings, and ensuring everyone was keeping the party line going.)
