Fantastic session. So interesting and full of things to reflect on. The Narcissistic bubble… something that has crossed my path in my previous life ..I called it a ‘bubble of self happiness’ if someone who has experienced something like parental withdrawal, say, as a teen.. could they withdraw into such a bubble and not be able to, or find a way out without professional help? Is it possible that they just don’t recognise or see the pain of that trauma and therefore build their life according to what keeps them feeling loved and happy without much thought of others and their needs? I agree that we all have a varying degree of narcissistic tendencies, I think it’s only human. How it manifests itself and owning it and dealing with it within our own selves was insightful in your discussion and yes a very different take on ‘text book narcissism’ that is being fed to us. Thank you both. Looking forward to the next session …seems it a HUGE topic.
