Hey, one question. Can you change your hand with the cards removed with mirror more than once? Meaning your exiled hand will stay removed for ever, but every time new cards are removed with Mirror, you have the option to switch your hand with them?

Does this deck perform well?

I stopped here to see if there were any good suggestions, on my way to improving my own Vorel deck. There were. I know this is a cheap deck, and the video is over a year old. But this particular design focuses on doubling things, to the exclusion of preserving your boardstate, or keeping your commander out there long enough to do anything, or interacting with other players! How does this deck perform without its Commander in play? How well does it perform with Solitude in play? Don't just list the deck. Talk about where it must go, and what it must do, to be an effective deck.

I came here to see ideas for my Meren, who has recently been converted to the Golgari/Lifegain thanks to the new Strixhaven. Much more my playstyle. This had some good ideas and I was surprised Puetrfy was so cheap! Where I shop it’s a little more. Keep up the good work! I love watching your videos.

I just watched this video because I love Ich, and I've been trying to figure out what to build for my 4th commander deck. And the 2 colors im missing are black and green. I have a 5 color, a jeskai and a mono red. So I needed a black green. And this is gunna be my base deck and ill make my own changes. Thanks for the help!

Welcome back! Happy to see another video from you. Really neat deck, Witherbloom is definitely my favorite school from Strixhaven and all of the lifegain synergies have been my favorite to play so far. Plus this is a cool alternative commander than Dina and some of the other options

Me and my group have been loving the strixhaven schools. 2 decks that I want to see are a "Dumbledore" 5 color deck full of all school strix jank, and spicy witherbloom with korvold running a pest deck. Both would have tons of potential!

I thought about this. I have Korvold in the 99 of my 5 color artifact deck. My commander is Kenrith the returned king and it focuses on Treasure, Food, and Clue tokens.

Here's a suggestion: Tyrant of Discord. {4}{R}{R}{R} 7/7 Elemental When it enters the battlefield, target opponent sacrifices permanents at random until they sacrifice a land. It always at least removes a land from someone, but can actually do much more damage. Especially fun when it drops out of nowhere.

Here's the thing: Banishing Light and Oblivion Ring don't actually get discounted by your commander since they don't target anything when they're on the stack (aka when they're a spell). They have an Enters the Battlefield trigger, so it only targets anything after they resolve.

Great deck! I really enjoy this commander and I’m considering building him myself. One Strixhaven commander that I’m definitely building is Octavia, Living Thesis. I’m focusing on milling myself and discard effects, plus tokens and small evasive creatures that can swing in for damage. I’d love to see your take on it if you get a chance!

Awesome deck! I think the uncommon legends in this set actually best represent each of the Colleges of Strixhaven mechanically; even better than the elder dragons that founded them! Great abilities on all of them, I hope you get to Dina in time, she's definitely my favorite :)
