From June 7, 1986 is a clip from a Burnaby BC cable show I used to be a part of called Motorsport People. The quality leaves something to be desired but it's the only copy I have. Its a look at Super Gas at Pacific Raceway, then known as Seattle International Raceway during the Divisional point race. You'll see interviews with Mike Ferderer, Rod Teiger with his two door wagon and NHRA Division ...

2006 event at Mission Raceway Park saw the quickest run in Pro Mod history, but it wasn't a Five, so nobody cared. Totally rare, killa Pro Mod STARS at MRP in it's prime.

The only copy I have of a DVD set I did a long time ago. Video compression was in it's infancy. What can I say? If I ever find a better copy I'll post it. Fuel Altereds, real racers...totally one-of-a-kind Northwest video.

Thank you sir !!! 😊😊😊😊
Dale was a brilliant engineer and innovator, not to mention crew chief and driver. He was a great one!
Very legendary. Inspirational for the Pro Steet movement. I hope this generation today see this video and learn from the True Godfather of all steel, all real!!! RIP Monty
Derek was so young and youthful!
Rain & Westwood, near constant companions on my many visits to this much missed road circuit.
This is amazing footage. I found this page from a Brian Lohnes video. Subscribed.
LEGENDARY CAR, COMENTS BRAZIL!
Thank you for posting this. I didn't have any video of my racecar at this event. It's hard to believer it's over 20 years ago now.
If you don't like the Wing we can't be friends.
Blue Dart funny car was Gene Snow-
Amazing footage. The very beginning of funny cars as A/FX's. Lot's of big names. Wow!!
Larry Reyes drove the Kingfish in '67.
Snake and his Ford at 5:11. Pretty rare with short body on it.
Wow, I never new Bobby Wood traveled all the way from Alabama to Pomona. It seemed he stayed close to home in the 70's.
Always been a great track. Nice and wide.
I don't think I've ever seen a Lenco shatter like that!
The good old days for me
Good going Steve Federlin
I Dont rember that wow i would think that would be the pinnacle of pro mod racing at MRP
Great footage!!! I believe the car at 0:52 is the Quarter Bender?
Thanks so much for posting. Grew up in West Covina from 58'-71', before moving to the central coast, north of Morro Bay. Made a pest of myself, until Dad took me to Irwindale in 64', and to the Winternationals from 65' till 73'. His job as Sargeant for LACO Sheriff's Department included running "the shops", downtown LA, where radio cars were repaired. As the big 3 automakers would test out at the fairgrounds, hoping to gain a lucrative contract with the County, we got comp tickets to the Winternationals each year 😊. Drag racing wasn't Dad's thing, but he knew his son was WILD about the sport, so he took me and my friends to Lions, Irwindale, OCIR, Bakersfield, Sacramento, and Ontario Motor Speedway (my high school buddies and I drove to Ontario for what turned out to be the iconic 75' World Finals, which were amazing!!). I was bit so hard, I've been racing since being licensed in 74'.....and do so today in a flat/gloss Black 70' Duster in Super Pro, and NHRA Heritage Series. Thanks for a great trip down memory lane ✌😎.
SUPER COOL! Thank you for posting this. I was there in Medford that night and 1-2 TFT that followed until I moved out of the area. That was a great event.
Since when can't a guy stage his own car? All the drag videos seem to have a "helper" out there doing all kinds of nonsense.
its so wild when I go to Pomona today to watch the races and imagine what it was like to be there ten years before I was born. I remember what it was like in the early 90s but the 60s looked completely different. Love NHRA Drag Racing Love Pomona Thanks for sharing. IN-N-OUT Burger Raceway Pomona CA. amazing place.
The Yellow Fang with George Schreiber toured down here in Australia back then along with Bob Keith ( who ran the first 200 down here ) Ron Colson Earl Pogue and Tony Nancy
Are you going to reupload Nuthin But Nitro
I doubt it, too many 'issues'.
This car is a TRUE drag race machine! It's what the sport is supposed to be about..... ;) (In my top 5 of favorite drag cars...)
The glory days of front-engine dragsters, fuel altereds and gassers. Back then the top fuel dragsters would often smoke the hides all the way down through the time trap. And they didn't destroy engines as often as now..seems like now almost every run a top fuel dragster or funny car grenades an engine. Some of the gassers were works of art.
One of the true giants of N.H.R.A. drag racing! As a Canadian there has been a few drag racing legends that come from Canada 🇨🇦 such as Rob Atchinson who is a 3x I.H.R.A. Alcohol Funny Car Champion & N.H.R.A. Nitro Funny Car driver Jeff Arend who is the first Canadian to win a race or a “Wally” as they call it. Also I.H.R.A. Pro Stock driver Kevin Wicke who i’m a big fan of because he is from Stratford,Ontario & i grew up only 20-25mins from Stratford & grew up watching Kevin Wicke drag race at St.Thomas Dragway a.k.a. “Sparta” or “London Motorsports Park”. Kevin is a Mopar fan & has always raced Mopar for as long as i can remember with his old 1968 Plymouth Barracuda nick named “short temper” & his Dodge Arrow car nick named “pappys toy”. Pappy name came from his Grandson not being able to pronounce “Grandpa or Grampy” & would say “Pappy” instead lol. Then Kevin later on down the line many years later Kevin would purchase a “Bears” I.H.R.A. pro stock Dodge Stratus car, i’m sure most of you Americans know the name “Bears” a.k.a. “Bears Chassis” powered by Mopar. Another Stratford,Ontario,Canada🇨🇦 drag racer is Scott Wildgust who has raced in I.H.R.A. & N.H.R.A. with his nitro rail dragster & a few other classes along the way. Anyways Cheers from Windsor,Ontario,Canada which is right across the river from Detroit the “Motor City”.
dang Scott Jr. talks exactly like his dad.
One of kindest individuals I ever met. I miss watching him compete.
I won my class at this race ;)
DANM! What a flashback~
So many memories
Great footage Larry! I enjoyed every minute, my only complaint is that it was too short!! Hope you're well!
FNA Larry!
Thanks for posting this Larry! Very much appreciated! I still have my original Four Days In May DVD and viewed it over the holidays as I do every year.
Great video, thank you for putting it here
Brings a lot of good memories to see Kenny and hillbilly in this video.

That was really nice to listen to! Working with Jim, I thought I’d heard the most of it all, but not the case. I learned a few thing from this. I hope Jim is doing well, and you too Larry. Thanks.
Eddie Vasquez holeshotting Grumpy Jenkins at 8:05!...both are L79 equipped Chevy IIs!
