For all my pissing & moaning about RUclips (giving a platform to the truly imbecilic, Et al. - other than me LOL), it's examples like this that remind me the huge positives. A huge DoA fan! I always thought the track was vastly under- appreciated, never winding up on any/many remix compilations; but it's very cool to see here this and many more extended/remixed versions - I need one with the flute part being tripled or something. LOL Quick side note on Pete if I may. I'm a gay man nearing my 55th bday, which means YOU SPIN ME hit the airwaves in my Jr High years as I was just starting to get deliciously drunk on post-modern/post-punk spins. While Pete wasn't necessarily gay - straight for all I know and it really doesn't freakin matter... then or now.... and that's the point I'm trying to make. The awesome spins & original sounds paired with androgynous, 'who the fuck cares' attitudes of Steve Strange & Pete Burns; the piercing falsetto & first truly in your face gay lyrics of Jimmy Somerville (Bronski Beat & the Communards); the pink-sequine-adorned-Robin Hood-costumed Andy Bell 🧚as he literally flew across stage as he & Vince emerged on stage, opening for Duran Duran in Philadelphia - ; ultimately lead by the hugely-gay (accessible & positive) sensibilities of New Order & Depeche Mode. I don't know where exactly Allison Moyet & Debbie Harry fit in, other than the ultimate f*g hags that made weird all the more delicious. ALL THIS DANCEABLE, simultaneously DEPRESSING & UPLIFTING soundtrack to a different 80's generation was sorely needed stateside to give relief as the fetid stench of the MoralMajority (which was neither of course) 🦹threatened permanency. And oddly, I'm feeling a gratitude to the Beatles I never noticed before. Never a fan or so I thought. But I can make the case... not just trailblazers for rock/pop music but for experimentations with all kinds of sounds, instruments, geographical influences, Et al. And hugely in the faces of right-wing boobs. Ringo, with all his health complications, is STILL at it... Decent music & still preaching CHOOSE LOVE! Damn, I get long winded. I'd like to remake this Extended/Rework. If you give me the vocals you filtered from 0:23 to 0:43 then I can remake this since I have all of the YSMR stems. I think if I were to remake it, it would sound SNICE!! (see what I did there lol) Most all of the stems I used I have taken and altered from the Sony 360 audio stem video which I know you have seen since I saw your comment on that video.
