I have 10 books on my tbr and I still feel like that’s too much considering I read most of my books from the library. I decided to suspend my library holds until I get my tbr down to 0. I’m really looking forward to having my bookshelves totally reflect my reading taste. Also I do hope more people follow this trend of focusing on reading what they own. This is such a refreshing change of pace from the book hauls and shopping vlogs (no hate)! Plus, I love a good backlist recommendation :) great video!

Is this the one that’s supposed to be a retelling of Arthurian legends? Did you pick up on that at all? I think tucking your review cards in your books is a fantastic idea! I may have to start doing something like that too! I feel you 100% on the insecurities thing. Hannah, I absolutely adore you. I think it is wonderful that you’re rethinking you TBR philosophy. I would totally be interested in A Little Life vlog…or any reading Vlog you want to do. I too have Priory on my TBR. Hoping to do a buddy read of that in the not too distant future if you’re interested. I honestly cannot tell you how many books are on my TBR. For my sanity, I try just to focus on the ones I’m currently reading 🤪

Definitely some relatable stuff in this video! Especially the sad waning of the excitement after buying a book if you don’t read it right away. I can’t even remember the last time I bought a book and started it straight away, how weird is that! My current physical TBR is 55 books, and although I don’t think I’d ever strive for zero, that’s still a bigger number than I like. Working on it! Oo I liked Sophie’s World! I remember enjoying getting to know all the philosophers and picking out the bits I liked most, but I have forgotten most of it by now 😅

I love this! I’m new to Booktube and I went through all my books and realized I have an entire small bookcase of books that I’ve been gifted, bought, etc., that I’ve had every intention of reading that I never have. I just went through this past weekend and have committed to read through them in the next year. I wish I had the restraint to not buy more - but most of the ones I have are so old 😮; I’m trying to expand who I read too…so - it’s a struggle 😅

Around March I decided my TBR was unsustainable and I haven't bought a book since. The stress!! I had more than 70 unread books and even though I was so eager to read them when I bought them, none of them appeal to me now. So I started to investigate them again, to remember why I wanted to read them so much. So far I'm down to 57 and I swear I'll never buy more than one book at a time

It is stressful to have so many unread books. I also keep mine separate from read books. I think I have four years of unread books!

I have 47 books because ever since I gave gave birth I can't read physical books and mostly read ebooks. I'm trying to get it to 25.

I WANT to be a person that doesn't have a tbr, and it is maybe going to be impossible for me to get there because I have at least a hundred unread books. If I never added new books, sure, then I would get through them all in a few years, but so far it's not going well lol. I do continually cull my tbr shelf, and I should do it again when I'm in a mood to get rid of everything!

I also want to be the person who reads books at bookstore and then happily carries one home.. ❤ but I also love adding books to my TBR 😅
