Hi @davidchan5407, both the HD Hitch and XD Hitch can handle a maximum load of 20kg. The main difference lies in their mounting point ranges: the HD Hitch is suitable for mounting points between 40-52mm, while the XD Hitch is designed for points that are 100-120mm apart.

Hi, The brackets will fit most roof racks but unfortunately are not designed for the ARB Base Rack.

Because of the perimeter lip around the Wedgetail Roof rack, you will need our Bracket Packer Kit to mount the XD Side Twist to the roof rack. These are available from our website. Team RacksBrax.

No unfortunately. The shower tent cannot be freestanding. Only pullout awnings can be set freestanding ie stand alone.

Hi Cam, sadly no. Because of the design of the interface betwèen the Hitch Body and the Hitch Holder some rattling can occur as the awning moves/ stresses when folded and at highway speeds. Team RacksBrax.

hi, a stainless steel/metal version is not in the pipeline at the moment. Our quick release hitches are made from UV-stabilised glass-reinforced nylon, which is the same material roof rack feet are made from. They're designed to withstand harsh sun and rain! Team RacksBrax.

Weight-wise the Bushwakka Extreme is not a problem. Unfortunately the HD Hitch Standard and our new, almost released, XD Hitch, does not suit the Bushwakka Extreme awnings either. The spine on the Bushwakka Extreme awning is too deep for the new XD Hitch (designed for the wing awnings with spines up to 120mm deep) and we are yet to develop adaptor bars to suit. This is someway off unfortunately...

I wanted to know the answer to that question as well. Anyway, I fitted the Supa Peg awning with the standard Racksbracks brackets. There was no problems.

I don't work for Racksbrax, but yes it does. I fitted it to the Rapid Wing 270 awning with no problems.

Hi there, yes HD Hitch Standard with Adaptor Bars definitely OK with the Rhino-Rack flat steel rack. Extra knobs are the Prop Cleats - these allow you to make your awning freestanding - all you need is a couple of extra poles and guy ropes - Prop Cleats and instructions in the kit on how to do this :) Cheers Team RacksBrax

The Bodies, Holders, Covers, Pins and Prop Cleats in the HD Hitch range are manufactured from fully engineered, UV stabilised glass-reinforced nylon. Load testing has been carried out to ensure the safe loading of 20kg per Hitch load point is indeed, safe. We found that the brackets which mount the awning break first before the Hitch is compromised in any way.
