Love how they use the music here. First his tragic hero-theme (top notch Kiner) replaced by his Imperial loyalty-theme at "superior" as he starts praising the Empire's strength. There's an even more better musical transition (I notice you've cut it) at "together" as he unexpectedly cuts the binders (and we as audience are totally thrown for a loop, or rather the first of many). The music in this episode is generally stellar.

I remember watching this and being so scared for them no one knows what’s going on even us. The viewers doesn’t know what’s going to happen. All we do know is that it’s not good.

I don’t think the decision truly rested on Tarkin’s shoulders. The Emperor felt that the loyalty of the clones would always be put into question. Also the close call with some of clones having defective chips almost activating or outright mutinying after order 66. They were also super expensive to make and maintain more so than the droid army. Not to mention extremely unpopular with members of the public. Using an imperial army consisting of conscripts, and volunteers would be more cost effective. Then using the clones to transition to storm troopers which originally were the cream of the crop in terms of imperial training and technology.

Tarkin is such a fool, this live fire training is what really showed whats coming for the empire; a resourceful rebellion that can turn imperial weapons against them and he does nothing but to only call it a win for the bad batch

Getting rid of the clones, I understand. But they should have kept the training facilities and procedures

You could already see Crosshairs justifying whatever orders they were given. Unlike the rest of Clone Force 99, his chip was partially active while allowing him to retain some of his individuality.

All this just to replace them with stormtroopers, smh

Oh, how I wish to see a Tales short that takes place between Rebels seasons 2 and 3 when Rex bring the Ghost Crew to meet the Batch on Pabu, Hera, and Chopper would be glad to see them and Omega, but Kanan would still have a grudge against Crosshair since Kallar or if his views of clones had change after working with Rex!!!

The "And I did?" is such a brilliant way to condense the tragedy of the clones subjected to Order 66 in one sentence/told through the story of one individual. We can discuss what he did later, but no, initially he didn't have a choice any more than did Tup, Cody, or Wrecker. Order 66 betrayed and robbed all clones of their choice, their free will, their loyalty and their dignity, reducing them to mere imperial tools. When the hangar shoot-out S1E1 happens, he probably has even less free will than other clones - he's just had his chip augmented/dialled up to eleven. Good (bloody cruel, imho) narrative choice to let this happen to a member of a small close-knit group of outsiders, taking pride in never following orders, and to its most proud and elitist member at that, one that does *not* take kindly to betrayal.

This is funny, the Bad Batch performed well and with no difficulty when it was just training rounds or in another sense an even playing field. But when the odds were so against them during the live rounds and was caught by surprise they won and survived, then Tarkin said nope clones are no good when the thing he was looking for the Empire that would have win against the Rebellion in the future. Most of the Empire’s armies have been fcked by rebellion’s guerilla tactics or situations that gave the Empire some poor odds against them similar to the live rounds part.

Again Omega be like "Ahem, request permission to hug you, sir. May I? Can I? Please? Pretty please?" until finally "Scr*w this me being overly sensitive about boundaries thing, YOU'RE GETTING HUGGED, you do deserve it, I deserve it, DEAL WITH IT!" 😂

"There is NO WE and there is NO ESCAPE..." (Yeah, and that crazy kid will soon prove you wrong on both counts.) He's right about one thing, though. Her coming there poses risks to both of them, and Omega is too naive to see that. I'm convinced it was a very clever strategy on Hemlock's part to let Omega roam relatively free, just to see what she'd do. He now knows she has a weakness, and as we see, he uses it against her when she has freed Batcher... (What's with StarWars and the peril of attachments, huh?)
