How active would you this level is?

I see a lot of people go for 60/60 int/faith for Staff of the Great Beyond. Often at level 200 like this; very solid build man! 👍

Have you tried making an int-faith-arcane build? I like to run 80 arcane with some int and faith then use the dragon communion seal and the albinauric staff, while also having occult infused weapons with low str/dex requirements. It's the best way to get the most out if Marika's soreseal because you get levels in 4 relevant stats

The regular R2 attacks are why it's my second favorite straight sword, my favorite being the Carian Knight's Sword. I say that as someone who uses straight swords more than any other weapon type. Having a thrust attack, one handed or two handed, it reminds me of the old Balder Side Sword from Dark Souls 1 in that way. I wish there were more straight swords with this R2, or at least something similar. A hybrid of the Carian Knight's Sword's R2 which begins with a quick block that follows up with a thrust instead of a slash would've been super cool.

Coming a bit late to this. But I've always been a fan of the Bastard Sword. Unfortunately it's literally outclassed in every way by the Iron Greatsword. Reach, power, scaling.

So funny i got your video in the recomendations you seeing that you also got this guy right here 1:04 LMAO. I fought him a few times in the arena before i blocked him... he basicaly just stays still until you approach to attack, baiting parries, while also being cocky about it. I think i have him on two arena compilation videos i also uploaded. Good stuff lol, deserved clap.

Im building a dual wield dude with the Monveil and the Nagakiba.. but with ashes of war is the best to put on the Nagakiba using int points? Or is it not possible and should i go back to dex building?

I have this on all my low level builds for invasions. There are better options with the same moveset at higher levels so I typically dont use it above level 60 or so. The 1 handed R2 is probably the best attack as it has a ton of forward momentum. Catches a lot of people by surprise

Amusingly, the "bastard sword" in elden ring isn't a bastard sword. It looks somewhat reminiscent of some danish greatswords to me but it's really just an ill defined smallish greatsword. The term bastard sword in the modern day is used to refer to smaller longswords that can be used effectively in one hand (all longswords can be used onehanded but the larger ones are a little sluggish). If you want an example, look no further than the longsword in elden ring which is kinda on the small side by longsword standards and fits the bastard sword category quite nicely. However historically speaking the term was much less specific and as far as I know was used to refer to any longsword. Giving everything precise labels is a more modern thing.

The only person to ever use this sword was probably the guy in the trailer.

tbh I don’t see it being underrated, it’s literally just claymore without the poking heavy and rolling poke, which are basically it’s main advantage over any other greatsword. It would’ve been fine if claymore was a bit harder to get but that’s not true either since you just go for a short walk and get it for free. All in all, it’s just outclassed by knight’s greatsword and Claymore with special movesets and iron greatsword with raw damage. There isn’t a good reason to use it other than wanting to be different

Bastard Sword should have a straight sword one-handed and greatsword moveset being 2 handed

almost all greatswords feels like a piece of shit in current ER patch if you playing it like in ds3 only using spacing and moveset. in ELDEN RING Is truly just sucks maining these weapons they don't trades well against something like moonveil spam, hell it won't even trades with anything like in ds3 does. even worse the weapon only good if you put good AOW but it still renders the moveset as trashy due to slow attack anim and slow recovery
