Rain or shine, we did our North coast tour 😁 Tho it was raining, we still managed to maximize and to enjoy the trip. We went to Yehliu Geopark to see the well-known rock formation of the queen’s head; explored Jiufen Old Street wearing ponchos and had some free food/tea tasting, grabbed beef soup for lunch; visited Shifen Old Street and set off our sky lanterns with our own messages/wishes. Back in Taipei, we joined Taiwan’s pineapple cake making session; and ended our day going to Raohe Street Night Market. We tried the Michelin-famed crispy black pepper buns that are baked on the sides of a drum-like brick ovens fired by charcoal. We also tried the Mochi baby, a gooey soft mochi covered with powdered peanuts…this tastes like the tikoy roll. And of course, the night market also offers a vast maze of famous claw machines, so why not try it out?! Yamyam won one but just don’t ask me what he got 🤣🤣🤪

Went back to Taipei by high-speed train, checked in to Walker hotel Ximen, grabbed lunch at Lao Shan Dong & dinner at Din Tai Fung and capped off the day visiting Taipei101’s observatory and finding my wrecking ball 🤣

We left Manila at night of 1109. Arrived TPE the next day then played the Luckyland game but were unlucky 😂 Waited for the others to arrive then headed to Taichung City via airport train and speed train. Twas hella faster and cheaper than the 2hr-car ride. Left the luggage in Check Inn hotel then headed to Taichung Second market to grab food. 2 old men approached us and helped out with the menu translation 😂 Though they cant speak English, we witnessed their effort to help us. Thanks to them and to whoever invented the google translate! Yamyam’s and my first meal was their pork noodle. Pork was cooked good and soup was tasty esp with own choice of black pepper. After having our first meal, we hopped on to their public bus (with the help of google maps) going to the National Museum of Natural Science. Our discounted entrance fee was PHP300+ booked via Agoda, includes free tea and ice cream. Museum is sooo huge causing my feet sore. We did too much walking, photog and decided not to finish exploring the entire museum. Grabbed their freebies and went back to the hotel to check in. Walking back, we dropped by Chun Shui Tang, the original and oldest milktea.
