Felt awful for you. Glad that he was okay afterwards and that your injuries were minor.

What a shame, it is difficult to get a stride sometimes and if the light was fading even more difficult, as long as you both came out uninjured you can go again xx

I am so sorry this happened to you. Mistakes happen, but I do believe light was probably a factor. I do think it was liability on the events part to allow so many entries that they were running until after 6 pm, and allowed no room for delays. They should have either had a wait list or done the event over more than one day. Or give riders a voucher to come back if it is unsafe to run as it's getting dark. I am glad you were both okay. Very disappointed in the TD to allow running at this level as it was getting dark. Now you know for the future, you have both come away with more knowledge and safe.

She did well in dressage because of her wonderful trot....so much impulsive from her back end. Biggest complaint is usually shallow and no energy. .perfect behavior bug no rnergy. She is starting her journey way ahead of others. Give her confidence but for not turn of her wonderful energic movement. Also you rode her beautifully. I admire your riding alot. I am a 77 year old ex rider...from Minnesota USA. Congrats. .

Positives: whatever happens, you focus, you crack on & deliver in style. Why? Because, deep down, you & Cody know how capable you are. Ninth on a bad day..? I agree. Impressive. Cody's scope is obviously awesome. Nerves & tension are awful pains to contend with but, you will beat them. I know. Why? Because I believe in you. As I know you can believe in yourself. So are beautiful person Millie, incredible rider, kind, courageous, honest & you clearly love Cody very much & it matters to you. You want to do him proud. Millie.. You already do in so many ways. Enjoyed the dressage voice over. Pity you were nervous about the show jumping. At least you know what to work on. The cross country is the most important phase, so it's great that he was so keen.

Very much enjoyed this Millie. Thank you for sharing your very difficult journey together. I think there are huge positives here, just a very off day psychologically for her in the dressage with, as you say maybe a bit issue. With a happier mindset I think you've got a real cracker there & she'd come into her own. Beautiful girl & covers the ground easily. Heart of gold. Have faith, in your hands, you'll both get there together in no time xx 👌

When I was younger, competing at Badminton and Burghley was my dream. My hero was and is Lucinda Green, or as I first knew her, Lucinda Prior-Palmer. Is Badminton on your wish list? Nowadays I'd be happy doing a 2*L. Seriously enjoyed the video. Edited to add that I like the look of Hunter Horse Boxes because the horse bays are large and I have a large claustrophobic horse. So lucky to get your phone back.
