The deal today for a sport car maker is not the race for engine horse power but it is to make a performant sport car with a light weight and a small CO2 emission. A ratio weight / hp combined with a light weight will always be more performant on a twisting circuit than the same ratio combined with heavy weight. in other words the ALPINE A110 S ratio 1114 KG / 292 HP (3,81) will be more performant than the same ratio 1440KG / 378 HP (3,81) (....Porsche 718 ). Unfortunately, on the commercial market, the car makers attract customers with the number of horse power.. 600hp, 700hp, and now some at 800 hp. This is the race to horse power with crazy CO2 emission because this cars are heavy. The Alpine A110 is the only one on the right way. The Alpine engineers worked a lot to save weight in a daily usable car. All sport car makers (Ferrari, Porsche, Mercedes....have to change their strategy and work to create performant supercars, BUT with half C02 emission (I am not talking about electrical development which is not a solution because batteries create other big pollution issues people forget). Today, the small ALPINE manufacturer shows the right direction

JW722 thank you for sharing this drive with what is clearly a very good car ,impressive driving also... I will definitely be taking one of these out to see for myself after that performance, I don't care about top speed I am looking for an entertaining drive " viva la France" and Alpine for building a real car. Renault deserve to make millions from it, imagine an RS version. :-)

And an M2 it's 71000 € with same options than this Alpine at 58000 € ! and the M2 costs more on a daily basis gas tyres etc ! could u tell me your impressions about Alpine interior and premium quality VS your M2 coz it's a reference thanks
Honesty International My girlfriend ordered a new Alpine A110 Légende as her new daily car in 2019 (you can find her on Instagram => drivediva). Because it's her daily car she went for the Légende edition with sport seats that have more adjustment (height, back reclining, etc) and are heated. There is also a bit more leather in the Légende, better stereo, parking sensors, reversing cam, etc. Her fully specced A110 Légende (with extra set of winter wheels/tyres) was the most expensive spec you could go and only a bit cheaper then a equally specced M2 with DCT (DKG). My M2 is a manual with manual seats an no sunroof... my own M2 is the same price as her full option A110 Légende (in our country). The interior and plastic materials used inside (especially the infotainment) look and feel of a lesser quality then my M2. Alpine had to save money on some places and the interior is the place where you can see and feel this. The interior design is nice and a special place to be in, but the slightly lower quality is noticeable. Personally it does not bother me and there are a lot of things that compensate this (looks inside an out and the fun when driving it). When you take the A110 Légende instead of the Pure or sold out Premiere Editions...then it's the interior of the Légende that looks a bit better made then the other two. But the difference is really small and only in certain details. For some nice Alpine reviews check Carfection or Harry's garage ;)
@@Franzino thanks a lot for your informations i really appreciate coz at this price range, M2 and Alpine are my favorites by far and let me tell u that you're a lucky guy to have both an M2 and an A110 in your garage in 2019 ! i'm so jealous lol :) i'm gonna have a look at your girlfriend drivediva for sure and thanks again for the 2 reviews adress ! i was aware for the interior's lesser quality of few components for costs reasons but knowing that it's only a slightly lower quality from an M2 owner, it's a compliment for a 1st car of Alpine ! anyway we love the same 2 cars but unlike u i can only buy one :(
Honesty International I have also driven the Alpine when we went for the testdrive. As my daily car I would not change my manual M2 for a A110. I love my M2 and the manual gearbox. The M2 does so many things really good. It's fun and exciting on street and track, still practical (rear seats, good trunk) and the comfort is also good for long drives (A110 is even more comfortable). The A110 is an awesome car and it drives different then most other cars on the market. You can use the A110 everyday (it's my girlfriend her future daily) but for me it would not be practical to use everyday. The M2 is a high performance BMW 2-series, the A110 is way more special and exotic car, that drives and looks more unique then the M2 and most cars in this price range. For the record; the 2019 A110 will share my garage...but I don't own the A110 (my other car at this time is a Z4M). My girlfriend is buying and paying the A110 herself, so it is really her own car and her own choice of buying this instead of a Boxster, Cayman, new Z4. I think it's the best choice of those 4 cars. Obviously I will also use it on street and track when she is not driving it and I'm looking forward to it ;)

I need a car with a trunk and backseats for the kids, so the Alpine is disqualified. Whatever, would I have been single, the Alpine would probably have been one of my close favorite of the top 3. It's just a waiste that this car comes from Renault. They are so unreliable, they even where able to ruin the reputation of Nissan.

Bernard Pourav there is no official alpine nürburg time yet but on some other tracks the alpine was faster then the 4C

Faudra un tour chrono sans chicanes mobiles car ça vire bien mais elle manque encore de pêche, faut plus de carbone, moins d'alu et un bon deux litres de 400cv et on aura la Portofino dans les rétros.
J adore en tout point..... le son (pour un 4pattes), le comportement, etc..... seul bemol : les palettes fixees a la colonne....
Bah c'est quoi le problème des palettes sur la colonne, c'est censé être le meilleur endroit pour les palettes
c'est le mieux surtout pour une voiture qui peut faire des travers.. Pas besoin de savoir ou est ton volant pour savoir ou la palette qui mettra la vitesse sup ou non.
