I TOOK 8 APs (2024 AP Score REACTION)
This year, as an International student in an AP school, I took 8 AP exams in May. AP Seminar, AP Cal BC, AP Lang, AP Comp Gov, APUSH, AP ES, AP Psy, and AP Macro. On July 8th, I got my AP Scores released!! At first, I set out some score predictions, and then you guys will get to see my honest reactions

For my school they do. They're still weighted

This was my favorite AP I’ve taken so far out of 5. I got a 4 on it. The class is totally do-able and not too difficult. If you’ve taken AP chem, it is light years easier in comparison. I really enjoyed it.
How you got a 5 on Calc BC thats like one of the hardest AP exams
Calc bc is so easy fym 💀
calc bc is hard on paper but the passing rate is pretty high, so in effect you don't actually have to get a high score to receive a 5
Apparently 45% of test takers got a 5 on Calc BC this year 😳
Physics C is the easiest exam to past but it’s like the hardest test, you can get a 50% and do good on the exam. The curves are insane even though most people who take it are good at physics already.
Dang bro, 8 APs is a lot! What grade are you in? Also congrats on all your scores! A lot of mine were the opposite of yours lol, I got 5s on apes and lang but got a 4 on calc bc (ab sub score was a 4 as well) and apush. I thought my APs were a lot but you took double 😅
I'm currently a rising senior, which means I took those tests in my junior year lol. It's just hard for me to take these liberal arts subjects ( lots of my pals took science subjects like physics and chem) but glad that I made it anyways! CONGRATS on your 5s!!

Me too!! I was super confident with the APES because I literally got all mocks 5 and my teacher had the 5-expectation for me as well. Sometimes it's just out of surprise :0

I only took biology because it was my first time. I didn't really prepare much (literally last week only) and got a 4 only because I was preparing for the Republican Biology Olympiad. But I thought I got a 5 because there were no questions I didn't answer 🫠🫠🫠
How many days approximately will it take to get an answer? After I've filled out the application.
since Pioneer is on a rolling application, there is no exact time of that; but roughly within one month will you be able to receive the response :D
@@ethanhe12666 thanks! I am just getting started, waiting for AP biology results, they'll probably be out tomorrow. I also want to take duolingo and it's all for pioneer 😭. Now I'm thinking about what I can write for the essay
@@byereke1 don't worry!! In your essay, just write down your honest answer and genuine passion for the concentration you are applying to! I hadn’t taken the AP tests when I applied to Pioneer so it's not a huge problem. Perhaps you can express the specific aspect you are interested in researching! :D

Sure!! I would say discuss and emphasize any instances where you have already engaged deeply with the academic concepts related to your priority or some challenged conventional wisdom! This will help them know what spark your intellectual curiosity and critical thinking as well, which are essential elements that Pioneer value the most!! :D
