Dey play, if u know the kinds of rivers in Delta, Bayelsa and Rivers state, u will know this road is just an imagination. It can be done from lagos to ondo, but when they get to Delta state they will stop because the bridges they are going to construct there will be 2 times bigger than the Niger bridge. And the bridges are very many.

Lagos state lands has become ancestral and if you don't have any connections to it, dont bother buying it.

This coastal highway is going to be very high from the ground level.lf all the houses coming up along the road dont raise their land to match the level of the road,they will all be flooded everytime it rains..Thanks.

Wasting N15 trillion (and it will probably cost even more if they ever get to complete it) on a vanity “coastal” road in the World’s Capital of Extreme Poverty, that will displace scores of coastal and fishing communities and dislocate large populations from their ancestral homes - when you could easily connect all those states with an inland road, starting with the completion of the East-West Road, and more efficiently and cheaply move cargo on the coast using the waterways. Anyway, unlikely to see this “coastal” road get past the South West in the life of this administration. SMDH

What's the essence of starting a project that you know you won't finish even if you gets 10 terms in office. There are many more productive, demanding projects across. God help Nigeria.

Is this project a good initiative? yes it is. Is this a must have right now? may be and may be not, it depends on how you see it. The elasticity of Nigerian's adaptability wall needs to be studied. We will be here in 3-5 years down the line when this becomes another uncompleted white elephant project as Nigerian govt always do. No due process was followed, no bidding process, no EIA report nothing they just started and thats it? You guys need to take a map and draw a line from lagos coast to Calabar and you will see what the challenge is in the middle and end of the line. In your first few statements you sounded like you just landed into Nigeria from space ... So does death traps in Anambra,delta,benin, ore and Ife that already exist from calabar to Lagos that people cant pligh will remain that way till this road is complete ... Simply put those who will die of accident . Robbery or experience hard troubles transporting humans and goods for the next 6-8 years should exercise patience because this one is the solution to the problem 🥲..... You guys truly deserve the kind of leaders you get ... Aside from content and cash outs you don't think beyond the scope of your pocket or interest ...

Some people may choose to get impressed on this project but to me it's no a welcomed development. What is the essence of constructing a coaster highway when we already have a double lane east west road? Why not construct an east west rail way either, which will be more affordable and convenient for traveling .

What blessing? Nigerians are easily pleased by minimal things.... this road will not bring economic progression when the foundation (stable power) is not a thing in Nigeria..... spend all that money on this road when that same money could be used on existing road infrastructure... folks forget that this coastal highway leads into dilapidated roads that should hav been fixed with that money

Nigerians are finished. I see many of you hailing this project and the minister in charge not even knowing the cost of the project in comparison with any other projects of this size. Some of you can’t even afford some essentials again like you used to but you can sit back and hail a government that embarked on such a wasteful project like this. Until Nigerians begin to drop dead from hunger would they start standing up to their oppressors. A defeated people indeed.

When the coastal Highway was first conceived by past government the initial plan was made to incorporate railway lines in the coastal railway plan. That means there was provision for trains to pass through. But the whole plan changed when Tinubu won the election and took over the presidency of the federal government of Nigeria and the government is focusing on doing only highway. That is the coastal road is built for only motor car, truck, tankers and other four wheel drives. It will be better if the government add railway tracks to the coastal highway to carry trains. Provides the trains to carry passengers and both highway and trains project commissioned at the same time. This is because trains carry a lot of people and a lot of goods and it will help to boost economic trade and development in southern Nigeria. This Coastal Highway Project by the Tinubu government is commendable. However, it is coming at a time many Nigerians are suffering from the effect of bad governance in Nigeria started by Buhari and worsen by the Buhari administration which the Tinubu government inherited and also aggravated the hardship even the more.
