Suppose we passed a law that says anytime a business is sold, the employees have the first right to buy it?

I've never seen this work out long term. It works for a while, but humans being who they are it doesn't work long term. Take the grocery store Publix. When it was a private owned company it was always a class act. I remember one year they had a choir in the store during the holidays. Well Publix got taken over by the employees. It was fine at first and they kept up with company standards but after a while the quality started to nosedive. Some of the behavior of the staff is completely unacceptable yet no one corrects it. Shelves aren't stocked property and many items are missing from shelves. Whooping and hollering in the isles by staff. Eventually the staff will get so caught up in staff politics then quality will nose dive and they'll either sell the business or it will just flop. I wish them luck but this is probably a bad idea.

Who knew you could make a living from so few cows? My grandfather has a dairy farm in Grandville with 30 or so cows. We also made maple syrup during the winter months.

Hopefully corporate buzzwords will be phased out with this new ownership structure!
