    What kind of problem was the car having?

  • @hartdart
    @hartdart 6 месяцев назад

    This is a seriously incomplete video! There is no physical way to remove the intake manifold from the vehicle. The best you can hope for is to move it to the passenger side to access the sensor. He also doesn't mention the sound covers that must be removed and the inaccessibility of the push to release clips that you have to get to in order to remove the intake bolts. To remove the charge tube you have to rotate the ring counterclockwise to remove and that is hard because of the pop riveted bracket on it. Plan on new intake gasket set along with the sensor.

    I was able to remove bumper without removing the 2 top piece. However, I've been having difficulty putting bumper back on. Will removing the 2 top pieces make it easier?

      It’s very hard, but possible to do. I was able to get them off by just using a ratcheting 10mm wrench. Not a ratchet and socket, but actual ratcheting box wrench. You have to really reach and can only do like 1/8 turn at a time, but it’s do able. Just got finished swapping the heater core in our journey, had the dash out and in in 1 days, but there was two of us working on it.

    Clear as mud! :) Do you have to take off the intake manifold to get to the fuel pressure regulator? At 00:20 you said "Once you take it off it's right here...", what is "it", the manifold? ? I don't mean to be rude, please think of this as constructive criticism, but this video is difficult to follow. For much of the video you are moving the camera around quickly and naming parts, but the shots are so close-up that I can not get a visual orientation on where each one is, and the camera doesn't stay on each part long enough before moving to the next part. At no point is there anything like a sequence of events, which parts need to be removed in what order. Are there any special safety considerations? Any gaskets? Do you need to relieve pressure from the fuel system before removing any of the parts? Pull fuses? Any bolts that need to be torqued?

      @devsdog No. I do not know. I am asking the questions because my Mom's car may have this problem and I don't even know for sure how to locate the faulty part. let alone successfully remove and replace it. But the author apparently does know all of this. I am hoping to inspire him to improve the video so that myself others are able to benefit.

      @devsdog Your opinion is nether useful nor wanted. My advice to you devsdog is STFU. Hope this helps. Most Service Manuals are woefully lacking. And the poster of this video did so because he wanted to be helpful to others. I am offering him suggestions that could possibly help him realize his goal, and perhaps improve other future videos. This is really none of your business, and I do not think you comprehend the bigger picture here.

      @devsdog Stop with the condescending attitude. I assure you it is not warranted. If I choose to offer constructive criticism, it truly is none of your business. You are making multiple incorrect assumptions. If you think this issue is covered in the Haynes manual then there is no help for you. You are just another troll looking for people to harass in order to boost your fragile ego. Learn to think before speaking or posting. Hope this helps.

    Thanks for this vid. Pulling the dash to replace the heater core on my daughter's Journey. I knew those were there but I was trying to get the blower assy out to access them but I guess you don't have to. I'm just a weekend warrior here and this is a lot to bite off. Obviously the job can be done but just seems like newer cars are only meant to get thru the warranty then become disposable. Thanks again.

      When I did my core I just uncrimped the pipes from the heater core under the drivers side dash. Slid it out. Slid the new one in. Recrimped the pipes and called it a day. Only took 45 mins and no dash removal needed

    Jon, thank you for making this video. I bought my son a 2014 GS turbo AWD… great car until something goes wrong. As you well know there are no videos of hard items. We have done coils, now we’re having fuel issues, sensor and manual fuel pump. I did the left front cv shaft and seal… if you ever need pics, let me know.

    The comments on your other videos are disabled, I had a question on that video you made for the 2014 buick regal GS fuel preassure regulator, is that the same location on a 2012 car?

    • @jondudas2349
      @jondudas2349 3 года назад

      Sorry about that. No idea why they are turned off. There are 2 sensors on these buicks. One behind intake manifold and one underneath the vehicle in relatively the same location. As far as if they are similar i believe so
