Better late to the party than never showing up, right? Rabbi, I just listened to your uplifting message on the 3 blessings and how this will help us cultivate a sense of gratitude. What a remarkably simple thing to do...which puts the things we are thankful or grateful for up front...causing us to be more present in our blessings. (I sat here thinking of THE BEST WAY for me to explain my thoughts more clearly...to let you or anyone else reading these comments know I now "know the rules.") But then I realized we'll each take out of this what works for us... One of my blessings today is appreciating the silence, the new quiet I'm noticing in my own cyber-space...NOT having to answer immediate emails, hook on to lengthy work-related or even temple-related fundraiser threads, or get drawn into sales ads that will forever be available, even if I don't 'click in the next 24 hours!' A second blessing goes out for you; that you are in our lives and that you're such a wise and compassionate man. Please keep sending these Words of Wisdom; I will be thankful for them each and every time. Shalom.
