My First opeth concert. Money well spent

I was disappointed when I heard the Italy shows, the sound was as if they were just not into it. Maybe some of them were sick. But Holy crap this is so good it gives me chills and nearly brings me to tears and brings back so many memories and craving for more.

Luckily I was there this nite and the absolute legend that is DG give this the full beans and for me on a personal note ( my favourite Pink Floyd song ) was my highlight of the nite

this indeed his best from the new album !! truly creative love the guitar rift and the lyrics are truly about the ups and downs of life and at the end it ends with calmness as a contemplative conclusion .. there is one line about time “Time is a tide that disobeys And it disobeys me” It never ends

Finally David has found his groove! Killer solo and quite unique. This is the night and that was the solo. He'll be pushing the envelope on this one for the rest of the tour. Such a relief after a slow break out!

Thank you for the post. I was at the Royal Albert Hall with my wife for the David Gilmour gig on the opening night, 9th October 2024. I haven't seen Dave Gilmour since Pink Floyd played Earls Court on the Division Bell tour in 1994. Amazing night and an amazing band! As for the critics. David hasn't been out on tour for a long time and let's not forget that he's 78 years old! He still exudes the magic that he had when I first saw Floyd in 1981 playing The Wall. Beautiful night! Again, amazing band and David is such a legend! 🔥 🎸 💥 🔥

No idea what happened to this band... their 1st two albums are easily top 100 of all time, and then they just lost it somehow. Incredible fall from grace. Some great, great songs though.

The wall l'album, le film. Je n'arrivais pas à quitter le fauteuil du cinéma il à fallu qu'on vienne me chercher 🙃. J'ai pris la claque de ma vie ce jour là. Cette version montre à quel point Mr Waters est un artiste un vrai.

Just saw this in Milwaukee last thursday...Masterpiece... Have not seen a show or event to match this one...I first played records at 8 years old and it was The Wall...

This version is nice, but I miss the guitar solos.

I loved every word and every note in the entire concert.

Oh Roger, what have you done? A dirge. A typically RW passive, aggressive way to "de-Gilmourise" a classic song and take away the feel and meaning. The Doctor and the Pink characters have now almost merged into one role with little distinction between them, a dreary mess of muddy vocals.

Waters loves him some him.

Say what you want but this dude is so freakin creative, the lyrics, the stories even the stage shows, you CANNOT deny how creative Roger is.
